40. Ya know what? A small contingent of grumpy old white ladies...
...walked through my room, they looked very grumpy and they were wearing their Hillary '08 sweatshirts. Did I mention how grumpy they looked?

I caucused in Tacoma Washington, if what I saw in my room is any indication, Obama is about to get a landslide from Tacoma...perhaps even a landslide from Western Washington. I heard that the turnouts in our area have been unprecidented. 3/4ths of my room had never caucused before...(nor had I truth be told).

Where are all her retired women - or have they given up on her too?

And an obvious question, were the pictures taken at around the same time? :-)

I'm the kind of supporter who will only celebrate when the actual results are in.

25. Overflow crowds showed up to caucus Snohomish County, WA.
Our neighbor told us it was 3 times more than the last one. His precinct went 3 Obama to 1 Hillary. Ours was 2 Obama 1 Hillary. He lives across the street that divides the precinct. The place was PACKED and they had to move several precincts to another building.

It was wild. We had 34 people show up for ours precinct, 27 for Obama, 7 for Hillary.

We got 3 delegates and 3 alternates. 2 delegates and alternates for Obama and 1 delegate and an alternate for Hillary. We could not budge the Hillary people and they could not budge us. :-)

It was very interesting.

My first, but not last caucus!

I am anxious to see how the state goes.

30. we began with 53 Obama, 11 Clinton, 13 undecided
Needed 11 to get one delegate, so Clinton just barely squeaked in. Ended up with 59 Obama 13 Clinton and the rest still undecided.

At least two of the undecided came over because of my little persuasion blurb in answer to an undecideds question about how do we decide who would be more likely to follow through on campaign promises. after I pointed out that one thing that experience can have working against you is being more beholden to corporate interests. When I used being on the board of Wal-Mart as an example an undecided exclaimed "she was on the board of Wal-Mart?!" and that seemed to be what decided it for her. A Hillary person got mad and said "oh come one, haven't any of you ever bought products from China or eaten at McDonald's?" the lamest argument I've ever heard, lol. Like we're being influenced to make public policy.

31. Caucus
Yes, I also thought about the fact that the people at the caucus here in Longview were so far from the stereotyped "limousine liberals" that Obama is only supposed to attract. Just a lot of working class people who are fed-up with Republicans and Republicans-lite. Race wasn't remotely a factor.

37. Tacoma caucus was similar
My room had 16 delegates. We wound up: 13 for Obama and 3 for Clinton. A friend who caucused in a neighboring town reported that her room had a very solid showing for Obama as well. Perhaps Western Washington will go for Obama. He has my support. btw: we had only one person shift their vote, he went from Kucinich to Obama. My sense was that folks want change, most in my room did not think that Senator Clinton represented change as much as Senator Obama. We all agreed to support whomever gets the nomination though.

The last one was taken just about right in front of me, so that's my perspective (and that group was just one of the 10-12 precincts in the room!
