I Will Happily Vote for Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama This Autumn
My dream candidate didn't make it through the Democratic primaries. My dream candidate didn't even make it into the primaries.

In truth, my dream candidate doesn't exist. My dream candidate:

Has both an analytical mind, to see down the road the full results of their decisions, and the ability to act in spite not all of the results will be perfect.

My dream candidate is idealistic enough to have higher motives in all things concerning the US and the world, and cynical enough to work well with those who aren't.

My dream candidate will keep abortion safe, accessible, and legal, while being fully supportive of those who are trying to strengthen families enough to make abortion unnecessary in all but the most physically dangerous circumstances.

My dream candidate can ride the perfect balance between creating an administration that will be fully supportive of self-employed individuals and small business owners, and sustaining an atmosphere where big business is still around to employ those who don't have the psychological make-up to take the necessary risks involved.

My dream candidate doesn't go around starting wars, but knows enough to gather around them a team who can win one.

I could go on, but ....

Neither Barack nor Hillary are perfect. I've chosen to vote in the primaries for the candidate for the one that works better for me, nothing more or less.

When I think about the past seven years of horrendous mismanagement and the treasury-looting, war-mongering thugs Lady Liberty has been subjected too, I know either one of them can help us create something better.

3. We must embrace who ever is the candidate
For the sake of the country and the future of our children.

Our democracy hangs in the balance on this election. Will we recover from the damage done by the bu$h regime or will the United States as we knew it parish from the earth?

4. Regardless of party affiliation - I prefer Obama or Hillary to McCain.
So I will definitely get behind either Obama or Hillary for my own self-interest if nothing else.

5. It's easy to say you will vote for either candidate when you're pretty sure your candidate is up
That seems to be the way of things.

6. Welcome to DU
It's best to take some time and get the lay of the land, before making assumption, yes?

9. Thank you so much.
I've been lurking for weeks actually. I watched the whole Proud2BAmurkin thing and all the hate towards one another. I didn't think I was assuming incidentally. I thought I was interjecting an observation.
peace

7. Hard to tell who is up or down right now but I'm tired of Bush's policies
and I hope others who don't vote for the nominee really secretly love Bush's policies because thats what they are choosing for all of us.

10. My Very Strong Suspicion
Is there are a shitload of people who are actively involved with campaigns who think they're using DU for free advertising - or trolling. Perhaps both. When you look closely at their profiles, a strong pattern emerges.
