... I'd want to see pressure to select the nominee most likely to beat the Republic in the GE. Whether that candidate has the most votes or the most delegates is irrelevant to me.
The super delegates need to support whoever they think most likely to prevail in November - but before casting their vote they need to take all the concerned parties into some dark smokey room and make whatever deals are necessary for everyone to be on board so the party can win in November.
I really think doing this sooner rather than later would be a good idea. Clinton and Obama clearly appeal to different constituencies. And each brings their own positives and negatives to the ticket.
I do not want to see someone win the battle for nomination only to lose the war in the general election.
