Poor Hill!
I'm an Obama supporter, but Hillary really got the raw end of the deal on tonight's "60 Minutes" - getting stuck being interviewed by Katie "I Was Born Without a Brain" Kouric.

Hillary Clinton is running for the presidency of the United States. And yet she had to answer questions about how she keeps up her stamina (i.e. "Do you pop vitamins? Do you mainline coffee?"), and her nickname in high school.

All I can say is :wtf: was "60 Minutes" thinking when they added Ms No-Brain to the show - and to answer my own question, apparently, they weren't thinking at all.

how she keeps her energy up on the campaign trail.

I'd rather have seen a hard-hitting journalist ask her some SERIOUS questions instead of the fluff that Couric threw at her.

Couric needs to go back to the morning shows.

and he called her "Cutesy Couric." I've yet to hear a more apropos moniker for her. She's the anchor for those who answer "Yes" to "Would you like cotton candy with your news?"

i'm not sure how it works, i would assume that both the candidate and network agree on the interviewer?

funny, because when i started watching the segment, i thought, oh god she's being interviewed by Katie. and I was pretty sure that she'd start to ask questions like "OMYGOD HOW DO U DO IT HILLARY?!!" and of course, that's what happened. apparently drinking lots of water is her big secret to success. that and eating lots of hot peppers.

Kudos to Hillary for being able to salvage something out of the ashes of a Kouric interview, and she did so with style. She managed quite artfully to get the discussion back to the issues - but she shouldn't have been put in the position of having to do so.

Haven't seen it, but after reading that Coric was the 60 minutes "correspondent", I felt absolute confidence that it would be a debacle.

The poseur interviewing the possible POTUS.

Did she use the "Some people say..." before she took a swipe at her? I agree, Katie is terrible at anything resembling serious journalism. Her pieces always come off as fluff.

32. Couric was endearing in the early '90's shen she was cheerful.
There was a time when some kids drowned under ice in NH.

She interviewed one of the survivors. She said, "and how did you feel when he let go of your hand?"

This was regarding a kid who had drowned.

Then she furthered, "and so were you excited when you saw the rescuers approaching?"

It was so unbelievably lame and insensitive.

Oh and "navy seals rock." BTW
