since we all are talking up ENDORSEMENTS

Howard Dean, I believe. Did Dean even win a primary or caucus?

3. He won Vermont...
It was really strange in 2004. Every candidate except for Kerry won only one state, if they even managed that.

8. As we saw with MA and CA - endorsements are not worth much
and... four years ago he jumped early on the Dean wagon so he learned his lesson.

11. gore has zero to gain from an endorsement
gore will weigh his options after the nominee is certain.

he may campaign, he may stay "above" the fray. either way gore is a freaking rock star now with his oscar and uber green environ creds. my guess is that he will wait it out as he is courted aggressively for a "gore stamp of approval" regarding environmental policy. gore has the ability to make major change via pursuing some type of massive foundation work or something
