Obama supporters...do we have to be so hateful when we win???
Is it really necessary? HRC Titanic??? Truly, I'm having trouble keeping up with my ignore list...

Does it really make you feel that much better to rub it in the face of Hillary supporters? Yes, I truly LOVED the outcomes this weekend, but still...

Just me here, but I felt sad for all those truly enthusiastic supporters for Edwards when he bowed out. I sort of feel the same way for Hillary supporters now. My guess here - JUST A GUESS - is that they're really not bad people. They might even be like, you know, really cool in person.

Would you make these comments to them in person? Then again, I don't really enjoy all the "Hillbot - Obamaton" shit, nor do I get a kick out of the constant false outrage posts we see here.

And yeah, the Hillary supporters do this shit too. So what?

So I ask you - what would Obama do?

7. There are supporters of each of the candidates that do this sort of thing...
...I just had a discussion with "the love of my life" earlier today. She's a Clinton supporter, I'm for Obama. We talked about recent events, and politics. I didn't gloat, she didn't insult, we didn't get all irrational about it or break out in tears. I would be happy to vote for either of them as the eventual nominee, as would she. I think although we may vigorously support our selected candidate, we should try to keep in mind that those we oppose presently are also those whose support and enthusiasm we are going to need come the general election if we are to have any hope of taking this country back from those that have so maligned us and disgraced us in the world community (the GOP if there's any doubt who I'm referring to there).

8. I completely agree with you.
I had to comment in that thread. It just isn't necessary. The race is still on, no less. No reason to get ahead of ourselves and gloat. We've all seen how things can flip on a dime.

13. I feel the same way. Obama, Clinton and Edwards supporters are all supporting Democrats!
Edited on Sun Feb-10-08 11:35 PM by Pushed To The Left
I feel a special type of happiness when I see a bumpersticker for a Democratic candidate, even if it isn't the one I'm supporting in a primary. I have a hunch that the majority of DUers probably feel the same way.

14. Gloating...
Gloating and nastiness from supporters of either candidate are childish and inappropriate. There has been too much of both from both sides on this board. It certainly doesn't reflect the feeling I saw in the caucuses.
