Is Krugman calling any charismatic leader cultish? Many of the
great leaders of the democratic party have had charismatic personalities. Look at FDR. In particular the Kennedy brothers. They inspired people to look out for more than their self interests and to contribute to society in a selfless and positive way. Inspiration allowed them a base of support that allowed them to make changes that were good for the nation. The editorial by Paul Krugman Sunday February 10 ignores that charismatic inspirational leaders of America have been transformative leaders. The incremental leaders such as Hillary Clinton are not capable of the transformational changes that many feel are needed now and Paul Krugman ignores this.

Hillary's Secretary of the Treasury? Budget director? Chief economist?

He's acting irrationally.
