Do DUers fight the same when they have Meet-ups?

Things can get a little unruly, angry and rude here but I imagine if we all met in person everyone would be cordial and have a hell of a lot more they could agree on than fight over. The internet is problematic in that way. It makes it too easy for people to rip each others heads off when in a real life situation we would probably all be great friends. Yes, even Hillary and Obama supporters who fight all the time would probably be best friends. Well, maybe I am reaching there.

3. Every DU meetup or situation where I've met other DU'ers
Has been extremely civil and very pleasant. Also, the level of conversation has been of the highest caliber. I've always been impressed by DU'ers.

6. Depends on how much we've had to drink.
After 3 root beers I'm schnozzeled for sure.
And if the joint is serving good root beer, like Hires, you just know I'm going to order that 4th one.

7. Wisconsin DUers are quite civilized on the forum
We've had some meetups, and that probably is part of it. I check the Minnesota forum sometimes, and they seem very nice to each other, too (they also have meetups). I think that a smaller venue makes people unconsciously act a little better. The behavior on the big forums has always been more crude, but lately so many DUers have been horrible, and it's probably a mixture of feeling more anonymous on a big forum and having nerves rubbed raw by the importance of the election coming up.
