Media doesn't even talk about issues anymore.
Edited on Mon Feb-11-08 10:40 PM by cloud75
I've been listening to talk radio and talking heads and they have stopped talking about issues. All they talk about is who is voting for whom. What demographic does each candidate need to win stuff like that .. but the hard questions about policy are no longer being asked. This is why are country is so screwed up with many people still undecided the race has turned into a popularity contest to see who will be the next president not who has the better policy to move our country forward.

1. They don't talk about issues because...
they're not INTERESTED in issues. Nor do they know about them; that would take some actual (gasp) research and work, instead of just blabbing about whatever pops into their heads.

There are exceptions, but this is becoming the norm.

2. The media's job has shifted from informing you to actively preventing you from gaining information.

4. that's your drive-by media for you
they talk about "personality" as if its gonna change the country. its about clout and political power, not who sounds the best.

5. It is ALL Primary Race.
Worst than sports, in many ways.

MAJOR DISTRACTION!

We have publicly, openly admitted War Criminals in the WH, but all the talk is soap opera drama of our candidates.
