2. as long as they keep firing back at the Reps' nasty spin
Kerry is fine with me. If they start to backpedal, I will be really mad. Get 'em on the run and keep 'em there.

4. Sorry,
I had to choose number one, but I admit to my bias, tho' I would have been happy with the BIG DK as well.

9. Can't vote -- 2 and 7 equally true
I still wish it could have been Clark. That's not a knock on Kerry. I do think he's a solid nominee, a good man, and qualified if not the most qualified. And you got to know I deparately hope he can win it.

But I'll always think it shoud have been Clark.

11. What glaring hypocrisy this poll demonstrates
Edited on Fri Mar-12-04 05:38 PM by Feanorcurufinwe
You started this poll because of another poll that is being criticized as biased because it has more positive choices than negative. Here are the choices in that poll:

I'm happier with John Kerry
The same -- but I've always been happy with him

I'm less happy with John kerry
The same -- but I've always been unhappy with him

And here are the choices in your poll.

2 positive:

ecstatic that the perfected being known as John Kerry is our (presumptive ) nominee
I think he is a good solid choice....hopefully he can win this puppy

1 neutral:
Can't say I give a rat's ass either way....ya know??

4 negative:
I have some serious reservations about John Kerry-to win or on the issues
Please let me sleep the deep sleep of unconsiousness for at least 100 years and wake me up in a new world
I wish we coulda had Kucinich (just had to add that )
I wish we coulda had Clark/Edwards/Dean....

Not to mention the insultingly sarcastic way you phrased the first response.

The funny thing is, even with your biased, hypocritical methodology, the positive Kerry responses are winning with more than 50% of the vote. :hi:

18. I really didn't expect anyone would take this poll seriously...
it was an attempt at humor....but if there is some good info from it - ok...cool....

"insultingly sarcastic first repsonse"? I was funnin' with folks here...or tryin' to...I thought that was fairly obvious.....

Really Feanor, where's your sense of humor? I didn't mean to offend...
I actually said I was gonna do a poll right here....

Peace
DR

BTW- wasn't counting pos or negs...the DK & other candidates were last minute after thoughts......

12. Happier than 2, but 1 being over the top I went for 2.
I'm convinced, won over to the extent that I needed to be and enthused. I was for Clark and when he first dropped I would have gone for the last choice, but I'm more and more convinced that we ended up with the right guy to fight this battle.

16. 2 & 6
Kerry has a solid lifetime liberal voting record. Unfortunately, he feels the need to run away from the label. He also feels the need to vote the wrong way on many of the most important issues. Still, overall he is a SOLID candidate who has GOOD LIBERAL CREDENTIALS.

But DK IS STILL MY #1 MAN!!!!!!!

17. My answers would be both 2 and 7,
Edited on Fri Mar-12-04 07:29 PM by crunchyfrog
but I ultimately had to go with 7 because I really did want Clark. However, I also agree with number 2, I think he is a good solid choice with a good shot at winning the White House, and will make an excellent President.

28. Aw, you KNOW it's 2 and 6 for me! Shall I mark #6 in case

any Kerry campaign folks are lurking, to remind them there are progressives out here who really support DK? Or shall I mark #2 in case any GOP workers are spying, to remind them that Dems are getting behind their nominee this year?

Tell you what, we need to encourage more people to register to vote and help get out the vote for Kerry in November. A Kerry landslide would be best.

31. The main reservation I have about Kerry
is that he will probably not be able to win anywhere below the Mason Dixon line.

The South will not trust a yankee.

Man how it's changed from the Kennedy era. He was a Massachusetts liberal too. :P
