If Obama raises the FICA tax will he increase the cap on the amount of social security
a person recelives both disability and retirement? Right now the cap on social security is close to $2,000 from trying to remember off the top of my head?

1. He won't raise the FICA tax or the SS cap if he's elected. He can't.

including raiding the age to collect. Good luck with that one youngsters who work with their hands, backs etc. A promise not to privatize is not enough senator

6. Reagan raised the retirement age and the cap. which only hurt the middle class.
Why not take the cap off the SS payroll tax? That would fix any "problems" the repugs claim we have. Or short of that, make the repubs stop stealing from SS. :shrug:

7. He's only suggesting to raise the cap of the limit.....
and as an accountant, I agree that this is the way to go. He also is suggesting that seniors not have to be taxed on the SS.

an increase on 6.6% of the population i.e., the rich.

Sounds progressive to me.
