Interesting comparisons from opensecrets.org
The industry that has given Bush the most money? Retirees.

The same holds true for Kucinich. Where are the posts suggesting Kucinich is the D Bush?

The second highest industry donating to Bush is the legal industry, but even Bush hasn't gotten as much from them as Edwards has. Where are all the threads decrying Edwards as beholden to special interests?

It makes you wonder if there even is a high road.

2. *sigh*
I'm pointing out how stupid all of this stuff is. I'mnot saying DK is Bush in D clothing. I'm saying that the logic behind such claims is as flawed as can be. I speak more specifically of that NYT article that Karmadillo and others posted a little while ago comparing Dean to Bush because they both went to Yale.

7. your logic is flawed
Your logic is only viable if you boil any consideration down to a single fact. Unfortunatley, all complex issues contain more than a single striking point. My grandma gives my alot of money for my birthday and shes retired. That makes me niether a republican or beholden to her interests. I might be though if i she gave me enough money(and i was a republican as well).

3. Might I venture an hypothesis about retirees contributing to DK?
Retirees love Medicare. In many cases, it is the only thing that keeps them alive and/or healthy. They see 43 million of their grown children without health insurance; they see them suffer and have to contribute to them out of their limited retirement funds.

Then they see that DK has proposed "Medicare for All." EVERYONE would be covered and at reasonable cost, without bankrupting the nation.

So they contribute a few bucks to DK.

MHO.

6. yep...
...lot of really wealthy nitwit trust fund babies in their 40s and 50s list themselves as "Retirees". Heck, Ken Lay likely lists himself as a "Retiree".
