Obama's Crowds Are Awesome! Clinton Suffering From Crowd Envy. LOL!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080214/ap_on_el_pr/measuring_enthusiasm;_ylt=AokQlvDum6K_iZy07qmNaies0NUE

I simply must use one of my posts for this. This was too rich.

WASHINGTON - Barack Obama is attracting jaw-dropping crowds at stop after stop. Democratic rival Hillary Rodham Clinton would be thrilled with her own big turnouts except that his are so much bigger.

Political insiders are unsure what to make of it all: No one has seen these kinds of crowds so long before Election Day.

Do to-the-rafters audiences in the primaries mean Obama will win the Democratic nomination? Or do his crowds simply represent highly motivated fans who eventually will be outnumbered by quieter, less-visible voters for Clinton? Or for the Republican nominee in November?

While some major Republican candidates were struggling to draw 800 people just before the Feb. 5 primaries, Obama spoke before 54,000 on a three-stop Saturday. That was approaching the population of Wilmington, Del., where he drew 20,000 the next day, Super Bowl Sunday.

3. Isn't it wonderful. One thing is for sure, those folks are interested enough to show up.
And put up with security and waits. There is a motivation in these folks that want to be lifted up and feel the hope. They will vote.

6. He has 3 rallys tomorrow. I'm curious to see how many he draws on a work day.
I wish so much that I could take the day off and drive up to WI (we're in the Chiburbs), but we're heading out of town tomorrow - and I have too much to do (and babies at home).

Imagine the size of the crowds he'll draw as we move in to warmer weather - where he can rent out large football stadiums.

10. It is harder for working folks to attend rallies
It costs money to travel to drive to a rally if you don't live in the immediate vicinity, you have to take off from work to go to a weekday rally, etc. In the voting both things are equalized and there the difference is only 52-47.

13. You are kidding, right? She doesn't get the votes in caucuses because
her electorate is too poor to caucus, and now she doesn't get the crowds because her potential audience is too poor to attend her (free to the public) rallies? Not even by bus? Excuse me for a moment, I have to  ...oh, OK, sorry, I.. ...sorry, I can't seem to contr-- oh Jesus, wiping my eyes, oh God I give up

18. Caucuses? We are talking about rallies
Why does Obama draw much larger crowds but only lead 52-47 in the voting booth?

25. That would be true for Clinton... but for Obama,
He seems to be going out of his way to hit as many small towns & cities as he can - so it doesn't cost $100 in gas, just about $3.

20. Jackson_dem It's easy to get caught up in frenzy of a large rally
But let me tell you it's not as real as it seems. When Bush43 ran for president he came to my town in Florida. The population in my town is just under 100,000 people. He spoke at the convention center which holds around 12,000 people and it was packed. Kerry came and spoke at the AME church. As you can see Bush43 drew the huge crowd but look what kind of president he turned out to be. The moral to the story, don't believe everything you see.

17. The following quote is telling
"Presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin said the last politician to draw such "fervent, huge crowds" was Robert F. Kennedy, in 1968. Unlike Obama, she said, Kennedy started with a famous name and legacy, "which makes this even more extraordinary."

21. Most of those kids are just there to see the blood.
Ripping still beating hearts from still living bodies? That kind of stuff really connects with the Xbox generation. Who are they using for the ritual sacrifices this week? Old people? Boomers? Gay people? I hear the working class is next!

26. I supported JE. Is this post intended to be meaningful to me in choosing? I should be a lemming?
I don't get the point of the post.

I truly don't give a shit about the republicans. Was that the point? Seemingly not, since you bolded "his" vs. HRC, etc.

I haven't chosen, but this shit does not help at all.

You don't think much of me, do you?
