Kucinich is expected to discuss the devastating health consequences suffered by American servicemen and women and their families and by civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Serbia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere because of DU munitions used by the U.S. and other nations.

Kucinich is also expected to outline a plan to provide medical testing and care to all military personnel, veterans and others who have been exposed, as well as demand that the U.S. and other responsible governments perform complete environmental remediation wherever military forces have used DU munitions.

"Depleted uranium weapons are an unacceptable threat to life, a violation of international law, and an assault on human dignity," says Kucinich.

gave me goosebumps altho the images were so sad and disturbing.....


Damn...we gotta make sure Dennis is able to keep speaking out...I don't know how ANYONE can watch this flash video and not want to do whatever it takes to stop using this hideous stuff...on other human beings!!!!!

The images are horrible, but the statistics are even worse.

Did you know that over 10,000 Gulf War veterans have died since the end of the conflict? Add that to the birth defects, radiation poisoning, and contaminated environment, and you've got a disaster of possibly global proportions awaiting us.

I sure as hell hope that Kerry (IF he wins) will put an end to DU munitions. Unfortunately, I don't see that happenning anytime soon.

But still we have to keep pressing this issue-- no matter WHO is president.

No matter who the president is, we can't afford to be complacent.

The US has been doing this for over 10 years. It should be known to all that not only are we in an illegal war, but we are using ILLEGAL weapons(and we search for WMD?). This is disgusting and criminal.

Has John Kerry addressed this and will he stop the use of DU when he continues Bush's illegal war?
