6. He is adding more details in his speech that totally rock
He's knocked down the speech from Hillary that tried to nip at his heels.

Barack Obama is clearly presidential and for this time and place. As he said, it's the Party of the Future vs. the Party of the Past.

GOBAMA!

10. He's talking really loud and not getting all that much applause.
I didn't think it was that inspirational. The music came on right away and people just got up and started chatting.

Seemed like just another political speech to me.

And I'm not trying to bash him, just seemed the crowd didn't respond that much.

Of course they didn't respond much when our governor came on either.

15. I saw Hillary too.
I just thought the crowd didn't respond to either one very strongly. Maybe they were full from dinner, or too much Miller Genuine Draft.

I wanted Kucinich, then Edwards and now I'm ambivalent. I think I'm just reliving the 72 McGovern trauma.

Sorry.

12. Clearly you saw a different speech than me
Maybe your volume was too low. People were clearly rsponding to what he was saying. It was not really a "rally speech", but more of a speech before a lot of people on all sides of the Democratic party.

24. MLK "I Have A Dream" Words!
"We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal" Just a speech!
"There's nothing to fear, but fear itself" Just Words!

That was probably my favorite part. Anything they throw at him he seems to dispell with so much ease.

29. he does, doesn't he?
This makes me feel confident that he can go through the General Election without too much trouble. He doesn't just answer charges, he exposes tactics. Totally disarms them.

14. GOBAMA! He was fired Up and Ready To Go!

Loved to hear him talk about "Words" ~ he quotes some words that worked like " I Have A Dream" --- those words worked, and "We Have Nothing to Fear But Fear Itself" --that worked too to inspire the world!

The CSPAN callers after his speech were wonderful!

19. Was it just a coincidence that the intro music
was City of Blinding Lights by U2, a song about New York City?

Or is that his usual campaign song?

Usually the repubs on c-span are so cranky. It was truly amazing to hear them inspired by Obama.

Amazingly, he is actually transcending the blue-red divide.
