Anyone remember 1992
Back in 1992 Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton was criticized for not having enough federal experience. His opponents scoffed at his use of vague buzzwords like 'hope' (remember 'the man from hope'), cooperation and faith and for ambitious plans that were short on specifics.

Sadly Mr. Clinton never delivered on most of his promises but does it strike anyone as ironic that if Hillary was running back in 92 she would have been using the exact same rhetoric she's using against Obama now to convince people not to vote for Bill?

3. He had been in public ofc for years, A 2 term gov., a Rhodes
Scholar. He didn't jump and prances around and act like a cheerleader. He talked intelligently and talked about issues. Big difference. Anyone can stand up and yell slogans.

5. Obama talks intelligently, and about issues, I'm not sure how you can say otherwise, after
all he was president of the harvard law review and taught constitutional law

4. Bill Clinton was the longest serving governor in the entire nation
when he ran. He had been governor for not one year, not two years, not three years, not four years, not five years, not six years, not seven years, not eight years, not nine years, not ten years, not eleven years, not twelve years, not thirteen years, but fourteen years. By contrast, Obama has been a US senator for three years.

8. bluntly speaking that is baldly false
Clinton had specifics all through his campaign. His health care plan was specific. His deficit reduction plan was specific. His defense cuts were specific. His plans for AIDS funding were specific. He wrote an entire book of specific policy proposals, called putting people first, before he ran.

6. Here's an ugly truth
Bill Clinton won his first term because Ross Perot split the vote between republicans and libertarians.
