I keep seeing posts from the Obama/Clinton camps

about how the other candidate can't win because of all the "dirt" the repuke attack machine would throw at them. Let's just stipulate to the fact that no matter who the candidate of our party is the republicans are going to fling more shit than an overcrowded monkey house. Let's also stipulate that the veracity of thier claims won't matter (ask John Kerry). I am an Obama supporter, but if Hillary gets the nom. I will support her with all of my heart and pray that our GDP message boards have been purged by then so the republicans have to do some of the research themselves! If we spent 1/3 of our time digging up crap on McCain instead of crap on Clinton or Obama maybe we would realize that we have to disband the circular firing squad and aim our ammo elsewhere. Even the most virulent Clinton or Obama supporter should stop and ask themselves if McCain is the better option than the other dem...and if the answer is no, direct a little energy towards helping to defeat him...

It's naive to think that because the Clintons survived all the scandals and attacks of the 90s that somehow they are immune to new attacks. Politics is not like the measles! There is no permanent innoculation.

Don't let it happen again, or they will win again. Do not blow things out of proportion whether it's against either candidate and loudly berate anyone who does. Please don't forget you're democrats.
