And Bill Clinton was tricked into being the DLC president for 2 years.

12. Bill Clinton was chair of the DLC back in 1990-91
He used it to build up his network of contacts and as a springboard for his Presidential campaign, which started in October 1991.

The DLC was set up after the 1984 Presidential election (when Reagan-Bush won 49 states) with the purpose of making it possible for a Democrat to win the Whitehouse. Many prominent DLC members supported Al Gore's candidacy in 1988.

With Bill Clinton in 1992, the DLC finally achieved its main goal of taking back the Whitehouse.

So I guess that might explain Hillary's involvement with the DLC.
