OBAMA must come out and call on all his supporters to AVOID PERSONAL ATTACKS re McCain
Edited on Wed Feb-20-08 08:08 PM by Sensitivity
Critiques of McCain will come from the right-wing nuts.

Obama supporters should show restraints and dignity, giving McCain the benefit of appropriate respect.

It is only self-destructive for Democrats to dwell on this politics of personal destruction.

6. Yes, let the Repubs tear themselves apart for once.
I think this story will work all on its own, without any input from across the aisle.

15. Follow the Senator's lead peeps -- McCain is a war hero, but not fit for President.
And let it go at that.

It is the dignity McCain deserves -- and anything more gives credibility to his candidacy.

This diminishes it as an afterthought.

17. Exactly. Rush, Hannity, and the others will savage McCain enough
without Barack and Hillary contributing.

18. Darn!
I was looking forward to Senator Barack Obama telling the press that John McCain is a tortured drama queen, lashing out from periodic bouts of mood swings. It works so well on women candidates.

19. Excellent point - he has much to gain and nothing to lose by taking the high ground
He can though add comments on his own work on ethics reform with regards to lobbyists. There is nothing to gain by jumping on this - if it's true others will make the case. If it's false, the danger is only on the side of those who attack.
