Why isn't McCain a flip-flopper?
Didn't he vote against the tax cuts only to now say he supports them?
Didn't he oppose torture and now claim that Bush should veto the anti-torture bill?
Didn't he claim that he doesn't take money from lobbyists when he does?

Why isn't he being branded this way?

1. Nobody brings it up, that's why
Kerry was a flip-flopper because once Bush announced that he was a flip-flopper, every Republican in the nation kept repeating that over & over again.

5. Kerry was already labeled a flip-flopper by now
as soon as he had the nomination locked up, Bush went on the air and said he was on both sides of every issue, and then everybody on the Right started repeating the "flip-flopper" mantra whenever they could.

Office worker 1: "Did you see that NCAA final last night? What a game!"
Republican office worker: "That was a great game, and that John Kerry is sure a flip-flopper"

4. Simple. Framing.
The RW can take anything, ANYTHING, and perpetuate it on the MSM and radio airwaves. Unfortunately for us, they are quite good at it.

It's all slogans and bumper stickers with these assholes. It's easy to repeat, and requires absolutely no critical thought from their sheep.

Repeat....repeat.....repeat.... ad nauseum. That's why he's getting a pass.

6. Don't forget abortion.
He's against abortion unless his daughter wants one.

8. No, it was a hypothetical.
A reporter asked him if he was against abortion and he said yes, it should be outlawed. Then the reporter asked if he would be in favor of it if his daughter wanted one, and he said yes.
