Bush Flip-Flops On Broccoli - A Window Into His Soul

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. — President Bush shares his father's dislike for broccoli, but on a chow line with troops Thursday, he went out of his way to get a helping.

"Better put some green stuff on there, otherwise people will think I'm not watching my health," Bush said. The server dutifully put some broccoli on his plate.

Broccoli?

"Broccoli — I'm breaking a tradition," Bush said. "I'm not saying I'm gonna eat it all. I'm just putting it on the plate."

Clearly, Bush is haunted by the ghost of his father and dreads re-living that one-term legacy. And, like Iraq, Bush must cover up what he wants to do (eat carbs) with a thinly-veiled pretense of doing the right thing.

Gee, with such powerful means of psychoanalysis, I should be writing for the NYTimes. This is the kind of bullsh*t "journalism" John Kerry is regularly subjected to.

How shallow this Hush really is

combined with prudent recreation,
and prudent voter discrimination,
it will lead to Bush II being a one-term failure,
like Bush I.
