Drudge: John Kerry bombshell
"Kerry called secret service agent 'son of a bitch' after slope spill"

http://www.drudgereport.com/kerryid2.htm

"Dem presidential candidate John Kerry called his secret service agent a "son of a bitch" after the agent inadvertently moved into his path during a ski mishap in Idaho, sending Kerry falling into the snow."

Holy crap! Drudge sure has the goods on Kerry! Kerry swore at a secret service agent! The world is going to end! Will somebody THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN!!!!

61. Yes, what have they got, really?
This is the kind of "reporting" that makes me optimistic, because (1) it's bullshit, and (2) people aren't taking these provocateurs seriously anymore.

Look at the crap they've been floating lately. Botox. Lies about a bimbo eruption. Fake Fonda photo (along w/a real photo that showed, um, nothing important). Swearing at a Secret Service agent. Attempt to smear with VVAW ties, despite facts showing JK's repudiation of radical tactics. One fellow crewman contradicting 9 others. Emails falsely suggesting JK and THK influence Heinz company's policies. All debunked. Haven't taken off like the Gore and Clinton smears did.

Meanwhile, Kerry is embraced by veterans, including a Republican whose life he saved. McCain sticks up for him. JMHO, but pictures of him snowboarding look like good PR to me (of course, I get the Segway picture in my mind every time), just like the hockey game pix.

The game is just starting, but the attempt at shaping the narrative isn't working so well for the Smear Team. Their smears are being debunked almost immediately, and they're not sticking the way the Clinton and Gore smears did -- people are waking up?

2. George W. Bush mocked a woman on death row who begged for
her life. To me, that's human depravity, mocking the condemned.

Matt Drudge is a hack. He's worse than a hack. He's Matt Drudge.

13. Karla Faye Tucker was the woman Bush mocked

"Please," Bush whimpers, his lips pursed in mock desperation, "don't kill me."

Republican presidential candidate Gary Bauer criticized Gov. George W. Bush Tuesday for making fun of an executed Texas woman in an interview Bush gave to Talk magazine.

"I think it is nothing short of unbelievable that the governor of a major state running for president thought it was acceptable to mock a woman he decided to put to death," Bauer said of Bush.

Bush is portrayed in Talk as ridiculing pickax killer Karla Faye Tucker of Houston for an interview she did with CNN broadcaster Larry King shortly before she was executed last year. Just before her execution date, Tucker appealed for clemency on the grounds that she had become a born-again Christian.

" `Please,' Bush whimpers, his lips pursed in mock desperation, `don't kill me,' "

51. That one episode should have been enough to clue up everyone that
Bush is diagnosable with a MAJOR character disorder.

Alinsky wrote of his time doing sociology at a prison where executions were carried out, and how, by the time The Hour rolled around, the executioner, the guards, and even the warden would all be half in the bag because of how horrible they all felt at having to kill a human being, no matter what the guy's crime.

This is one of the few guys in the U.S. who doesn't have to worry about submitting to drug, psychological or lie detector tests in order to get a job.

And what happened, strangely enough, during the one time when he was compelled to be tested for drugs?

More than likely when the SS Agent swerved in front of him he said "Son of a Bitch" because he thought he would crash into him. Most folks would swear if someone cut them off when they are coming down a mountain.

No big deal, here.

At least accord to ABC's The Note. The quote came AFTER he fell and reads: "I don't fall down. That son of a bitch ran into me."

Now the question, is it a big deal? Eh, not really, though it is a bit odd to curse someone there to protect your life for a minor mistake. Its not enough to elect or not elect someone, but it will still probably hurt Kerry, which means its good for Bush.

"There were some hecklers, too, such as a few children who murmured, "George Bush, George Bush" when Kerry walked by. And as the senator sat down to his lunch -- a bowl of chili and a POWERade energy drink, totaling $9.10 -- a man in line for the Challenger ski lift yelled, "Hey, John, what world leader talked to you?" -- echoing Republican attacks over Kerry's refusal to identify leaders from overseas whom he said support his candidacy." http://www.boston.com/news/politics/president/kerry/articles/2004/03/19/hot_off_campaign_trail_kerry_hits_slopes_in_idaho/

31. People attacking JFK on vacation
Yeah, the guys verbally attacking Kerry while he is on a well deserved vacation should really lay off. But, I imagine that Bush would get similar taunts if he didn't take his vacation in the seclusion of his Crawford ranch.

They're petty, but to be expected during a campaign in such a divided time.

38. ABC's The Note is run by (can't think of his name) but I saw him on
Edited on Sat Mar-20-04 09:20 AM by KoKo01
an Jounalist's Panel on "Media and the Election" in NewHampshire on C-Span and he said: John Kerry and Howard Dean aren't "religious enough" to win the Presidency," when asked which of the Democrats running (at that time it was all of them)could win against Bush! He said, "Clinton won as a Democrat because he was from the South and could go to Black Churches and people knew he was comfortable with his religion." (paraphrase there but almost exact).

I posted it on DU because I was shocked at this guy. He's NOT pro-Democrat and the "The Note" sometimes appears to be fair because it's Washington Gossip and insider gabbing. But, they have an agenda and it isn't to get a Democrat in the WH.

This is just Repug Garbage. I believe the whole incident is distorted.

And, I was not a Kerry supporter during the primaries. So, take my comment for what it's worth. But, be careful what you believe from some NYT's reporters and The Note. Just a caution. :-(

39. Will it hurt Kerry
the same way "major league asshole" and "Fuck Saddam! We're taking him out!" hurt Bush?

How about when Bush swore at Al Hunt in front of his 4-yr.-old daughter?

How about when Bush answered a reporter's question about what he talked to his father about and Bush answered, "Pussy."

Etc.

Hmmm, wonder why those remarks aren't Drudge "bombshells"?

And why do you bother with Drudge, anyway?

Bush at another fundraiser:

BUSH: Senator Kerry wants to cut back on ALL military weapons and let our soldiers without even a change in underwear. Now he said that all Secret Service agents are sons of bitches! How can anyone running for President think that our security and protection are seen by him as "sons of bitches". I met a man who is in the Secret Service who is absolutely appalled that Kerry would refer to all security officials that are protecting children, women and guys as nothing more than sons-of-bitches.

As I look at the Secret Service offiicials who are protecting me, I ask them to think about what Kerry said.

but the Media Whores are Not going to tell us that...we already know from past experience.

I still think Kerry's photo ops on this trip were a mistake Public Relations wise, though. He doesn't come off serious enough running around doing all these activities that "have the appearance" of "super jock." So, he definitely left himself open for some sneering on this one and so the whore press and cable smarms saw the opening and are smearing away by distorting or misrepresenting his comments.

He should have just down some light downhill, and spent quiet time instead of running around looking like macho man. He left himself open but these whore press comments need to be debunked. I imagine someone in his campaign will get the truth out on this.

that Kerry was on the slopes "apparently trying to appeal to the hipsters," and her male sidekick agreed.

Did Kerry suddenly take up snowboarding as a campaign gimmick? No wonder he's falling down!

(Did they ever say "Bush is clearing brush at his phony ranch purchased as a campaign gimmick to appeal to stereotypes of rugged rednecked outdoorsmen?" Because that would be true.)

Anyway, thank goodness for Drudge or we might have voted for somebody who uses naughty language which could lead to deficits, unemployment, and wars.
