1. I think he should wait.
The attacks will come, but at this point, not as many people are paying attention. He should wait till the convention, announce Clark, and they can get a bounce from that. And maybe they can redefine the ticket in people's minds.

2. no, they would just start attacking Clark
the problem is the lack of money in countering the ads the right wing runs. kerry needs to work in fighting the gop in trying to define him for now as most will vote based on kerry in the end anyways.

3. Why?
the Repugs are using all their ammo now. When it gets close to election time it will be old news. The filp-flop crap will be old. no need to name the VP right now. I wouldn't do it at least for another month

4. It's too early to name the Veep
Save it till before the convention to try & maximize news cycle.

The issue is Kerry vs Bush right now. We've had a bad week ot two; need to get back on offense.

After a candidate wins the nomination is the time the candidate should be introduced to the public. Many people have no idea of who Kerry is. The Kerry team needs to define him, & not allow the Repugs to do it.

5. Yes
These two together would be very strong. I can't go along with the "why create two targets?" argument. With a full ticket we could make Bush the target. Right now all of our eggs are in one basket, and one guy can't defend himself. Kerry needs back-up. It would just be a smart thing to do.
