After today, I want Hillary to stay in as long as possible

About a month ago, when Hillary started going hard negative, most of us said "this is nothing like what the Republicans will do in the general." But now, after allegations of plagiarism, a staged Howard-Beale-style meltdown and, finally, the publishing of a photo of Obama in a funny hat, we can all say, "this is EXACTLY like what the Republicans will do in the general."

The best part is, it's failing, The more slime coming from the Clinton camp, the more opportunities Obama has to show how he deals with opposition. For me, his poise and grace under fire has turned him from a reluctant third-choice to someone I'll be happy to work for and vote for in the fall.

So please, Hillary, stay in as long as you can. Don't stop with fake plagiarism and racist photos. Bring up Larry Sinclair and the allegations of drugs and gay sex. Hell, just go ahead and make some shit up. Let's get this all out of the way now so that Obama can focus on handing McAin't his ass in the fall.

Hillary, you've done a great service to the party and the country. You've sacrificed your political future and your personal dignity to make sure that we have a bullet-proof nominee this fall. And for that, we are all in your debt.**

(** offer of gratitude expires March 5th.)

I want to see her fight until the bitter end.

I want to see constant Obama smears about unsubstantiated gay sex, drugs and all kinds of crimes! Hey, if
it's a slow Obama dirt day, I hope Hillary starts making up stuff. Just for fun!

I'd like to see more of her arm-flailing, "Ohhh Lawwdy the Obama supporters are just starry-eyed loons" speeches.
She needs to realllly get in there and totally mock and insult half of the Democratic party. She should position
all of Obama supporters--the millions of Dems, Indies and Republicans--as really awful, idiotic rubes.

Hillary should do all of this often, and she should constantly send out pictures, emails, fliers, and photo
greeting cards that accuse Obama of being a Muslim, a radical, a vegetarian, an obsessive-compulsive and a
puppy eater.

I want Hillary to try and cheat, by vociferously arguing to seat Michigan and Florida! I hope that she
continues to try to manipulate and strongarm the Super Delegates...right down to the very end.

Because, at the end of this horrendous, vile, disgusting, inhumane campaign--not only will Hillary Clinton
lose the Dem nomination, she will be radioactive in the Senate and she will have lost her credibility and
her respect--and eventually she'll lose her Senate re-election campaign.

Yes, keep going Hillary!

3. I agree to an extent
the other side of this is she's giving not only giving McCain a free pass by taking focus off of him with every new attack she makes towards Obama, she's also adopting right wing tactics which they will be more than happy to continue to use against Obama. Right now she is killing the democratic party in no uncertain terms.

By the time the fall rolls around, Obama can just roll his eyes and say "we've been all through this". McCain will have nothing.

7. Not yet, but she's well on her way.
If she keeps this up, it will be historic. Never before has a political figure fallen so far, so fast.

Many books and essays will be written about how NOT to not only run a campaign, but how NOT to attempt to position oneself for such a campaign.

She should drop out because of the repug argument "well even Sen. Clinton pointed out_______(insert slime here)"

It makes things worse, not better.

Besides the fact that she is also damaging herself.

21. Hillary is showing McCain what works and what doesn't in running against the
first AA candidate with a serious shot at the WH.

Some of the attacks that do not work in a primary will in the GE, but it is definitely a learning curve. Make no mistake about it, the repubs are learning.

McCain however will be able to run against the issues more than H can, because of the drastic differences.

I do agree with the other poster that said, it is going to be a long summer, and the 527's haven't even really started up.

A lot of that is due to his adoption of John Edwards' themes. Hate to say it, but Obama has a better UI for delivering Edwards' message.

I hope Edwards comes out with an Obama endorsement and plays a big role in the administration.

40. Definetly! Everytime I see Edwards'
name I hold my breath as to what he's doing now.

And this is perfect for them..the anti war on Iraq economic study..

"As economic concerns weigh heavily on the minds of Americans, opposition to President Bush's reckless war in Iraq continues to grow. The massive cost of the war in Iraq- hurtling toward one trillion dollars - has increased demand for a strategy to bring U.S. troops home. The Iraq/Recession Campaign will highlight the majority of Americans who want to see leadership on investing in critical priorities at home and establishing real security throughout the world."

38. I think it all depends on whether the American public has caught...
on to the WWE style politics that they use. If people have truly woke up and are realizing that we need to actually get involved to make change, it will be a good thing for her to play the Clinton and Republican style games as usual. If America is finally on to this, it will only make things worse for her turnout and maybe our voices will finally be heard. The last debate, she didn't answer the direct questions about what she was saying about Obama in her lively speeches, I hope someone holds her accountable and makes her answer the questions in tomorrows debate because all of these political games do nothing for the public, it only has a chance to give her more votes so SHE can win...not the people.
