Clinton Links Obama & Bush Experience - would need a manual to understand the complexities

Clinton Links Obama & Bush Experience

To a packed auditorium at George Washington University, Clinton seemed to imply Obama's lack of foreign policy credentials might mean he'd be a Democratic version of President Bush.

"We've seen the tragic result of having a president who had neither the experience nor the wisdom to manage our foreign policy and safeguard our national security," she said. "We can't let that happen again."

Clinton also mocked Obama by implication suggesting he would need a manual to understand the complexities of foreign diplomacy.

"The American people don't have to guess whether I understand the issues or whether I would need a foreign policy instruction manual to guide me through a crisis, or whether I'd have to rely on advisers to introduce me to global affairs," she said.

3. Well, my most immediate response would be that experience and wisdom do not go hand in hand...
at least, not necessarily. And to suggest that Obama has judgment and wisdom equal to that of Bush is simply not the case.

5. A pertinent though unrelated question
would be: why was the speech delivered in Washington? Inquring minds want to know... Going back to one the ATMs?

7. Hillary has less experience in elected office and clearly lacks the wisdom
based on her Iraq war vote. This isn't a strong argument for her.

12. right on hillary, give him hell ... and then make him sweat to defend himself against you in direct,
1:1 dialogue at the debate...don't let him hide behind superfluity, or empty rhetoric, or the mantle of the country needs to be uplifeted or united. we do. but we need to hear why he thinks he is the one -- not you -- to do that. he has managed to divide the democrats quite a lot. that is what he has done.

16. In reality, her campaign has been run much like the Iraq War.
They grossly underestimated their opposition; so very confident in a decisive victory by Feb 5th that they neglected to have a plan B for beyond that. Reminds me of the Bush Administration's assurances we would be greeted with flowers and everything would be wonderful after Saddam Hussein was ousted; there again - no plan B.
