Richard Clarke is a registered Republican!
They're eating their own!

I didn't know he was a Republican. Good for him for having the balls to stand up for what's right.

7. What does that mean?
I'm eating my own by supporting Wes Clark who is now the spokesperson for John Kerry campaign? Wes Clark, the man who rebutted Bush's one year Iraq War Anniversary speech....pointing out everything BOGUS thing the man said? Wes Clark who has been traveling around the country on behalf of John Kerry attending rally after rally? Wes Clark, the man who has a campaign fundraiser plea up on John Kerry's web site? Wes Clark, the man who sent me and every Clark supporter an email encouraging us to support John Kerry? Is that what you're saying? You don't like my Wes Clark pics, or what? I plan on voting for Kerry. So? What's wrong with my sig line? Clark is my favorite candidate. I devoted a lot of time, energy and money into his campaign. I LOVE the guy. :loveya:

He also bashes the hell out of the cabal on a regular basis. He deserves my support. He deserves every Democrats support for what he's doing.

8. All the right wing shills were trying to pass him off....
as a Clinton leftover today, when in fact, he started with the Reagan administration. Spin, spin, spin. They really have it down pat. Get that lie out as soon as possible on every show, radio, TV you can and hope like hell that's the only info some schmuck hears. Sometimes it works if the story is small, but it ain't gonna work on this one, atleast I hope not.

10. Is McCain A Republican?
Cause he blew a very carefully orchestrated attempt to call Kerry weak on defense.

"Those close to Mr McCain insist that his support for Mr Kerry is not a case of payback against the White House, but a sign of how he places loyalty to friends above loyalty to his party. For Republicans, the spectacle is awkward. A senior, very popular senator is breaking ranks with the President of his own party on a crucial election issue.

In an increasingly polarised climate on Capitol Hill, friendships across the aisle are increasingly rare."

12. I think Clarke has an immense amount of credibility...
and because of that, this will help crush bush.

All of the talk about Clinton reminds me that those responsible for the first WTC bombing, are languishing in prison for the rest of their lives.

Wes Clark is on MSNBC and he is blasting bush, as one would expect. He is getting hit by Clinton ?'s, and saying Clinton is not up for re-election but bush is, that is why they are desperate. :)

This will not die!

13. ABC News just mentioned an interesting point
The fact that the Fraudministration has never gone this far out of their way to personally attack someone, as they have with Clarke. Not even Paul O'Neill, that I can recall.

To me, that only reinforces that Clarke's 100% correct in his story and that the BCE is running scared :scared:

14. The WH talking head
can't remember his name. Wilkinson? maybe...he's been on ALL day cutting down Clarke. He's been saying that... "The WH JUST found out that Clarke's book was to be released in April. Don't you find it interesting that it was released the same week that he's testifying before the 911 committee this week?" PATHETIC! What losers these people are! The cabal is about to fall!

19. EXCELLENT suggestion!
Email that suggestion to the Kerry campaign.

People need to know the man is a Republican. The WH spins right around that little tidbit of information. Kerry, Clark, Clarke, Graham and anyone else speaking about this issue needs to refer to him as "The Republican" Clarke. Or Clarke himself needs to tell everyone in every interview he does. GREAT suggestion!

18. Pubbies in congress are silent - except Chuck Hagel
Who is not at all happy with the shrub about this. Usually by this time in the news cycle the pubbies in congress would be mouthing the white house message - I think there may be trouble in shrubville. Maybe Clarke is too well respected by the congress critters that they can't buy the white house line this time? Has the worm turned?

21. Is the "disgruntled employee" charge credible?
Edited on Mon Mar-22-04 10:07 PM by yellowcanine
Seems to me it is not as he apparently left on his own volition - and the WH shills are not pointing to anything specific that he was disgruntled about. The onoy thing Cheney could say was that he was "out of the loop" which only reinforces Clarke's contentions, since he was the supposed anti-terrorism expert. And of course if * was pressing him for an Iraq connection to 9-11 he was not really out of the loop at least in the "mind" of *. This is shaping up as the worst political week of the * regime.

On edit: No I haven't forgotten the week that Senator Jeffords switched. Now that was a happy week. I will never forget the downturned mouth of Trent Lott.

22. And Larry Johnson of the CIA also.
There are Republicans with integrity, probably lots of them. I'll bet a many of them are just sick about what has happened to their party under Bush. No WMDs. A CIA agent outed for political reasons. An unnecessary war. Huge deficits...

23. Of course, he is a hardcore hawk
He's no peacenik, not by a longshot, and probably has some ugly skeletons in his closet.

He's a hardliner, just not a neocon or an inflexible cold warrior.

The reason his testimony is so damning is that it's not ideological. His only message is this: BUSH AND THE NEOCONS HAVE SCREWED UP ROYALLY IN FIGHTING THE TERRORISTS. And, if the Dems have even half an ounce of competence, this should be enough to tear a gaping hole into Bushco.
