CNN reporter just say Dean's Endorsement/Kerry Energizes Dem Base!
Edited on Thu Mar-25-04 01:20 PM by KoKo01
That's what she said. Dean's endorsement would energize the "Democratic Base." She said "... all enthusiastic Dean supporters were being encouraged to support Kerry because of Dean's enthusiastic speech cautioning that voting for Nader would re-elect Bush." (paraphrase)

Showed a clip of a rousing Dean speech in support of Kerry. I'm thrilled that the reporter observed that Dean could energize the base of the Democratic Party. :toast: to Dean!

------------------------------

"We had a tough campaign here," Dean said as he endorsed Kerry at a rally at George Washington University. "It is tough. We're both tough competitors. But there are things in the campaign we talked about focusing on the things that divide us. Now we are going to talk about the things that we have in common."

Kerry said he had "respect and, more importantly, admiration for the conversation with America that Howard Dean began and we will now continue."

"We indeed looked for the differences, but I tell you something, that we had to look hard for the differences," Kerry said.

1. Well, I haven't felt this energized in months!!!!!
good post, Koko

:hi:

I was so sad when Dean didn't win any primaries and dropped out.

Our party owes this man our very lives.

17. I have to say given all the sniping lately, I loved "Dean Dem Base."
Sort of a "poke in the eye" to those here who call those of us who were against the Iraq Invasion "Non Dem's." ;-)
