Kerry Accuses White House Of 'Character Assassination' Against Clarke
During a stop in Kansas City Saturday, Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry accused the White House of character assassination against former counterterror chief Richard Clarke. Kerry said that the Bush administration criticizing Clarke so it doesn't have to answer questions he's raised about national security.

Kerry also said national security adviser Condoleezza Rice should testify in public before the commission investigating the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. Rices wants to testify before the commission in a private session.

Bush campaign spokeswoman Nicolle Devenish said Kerry and other Democrats are trying to politicize the work of the commission.

Kerry is holding a private meeting with small business owners and others in Kansas City, before heading to St. Louis for a jobs rally with Richard Gephardt.

2. Typical GOP garbage, "they are politicizing this, (or that),...
Clarke has dignity and class, something the current residents of OUR WH sorely lack. This is going to be their Waterloo. All of the battles leading up to this have set the stage, and finally, the stake will be driven into the hart of this administration.

Clarke was spectacular in his testimony. He was as honest as one could expect, and the administration is baffled as to how to deal with honesty and integrity, as they have never felt any themselves.

CNN is just now punding on Rice, and Kerry is the followup.

:)
