With 11,963 contributions, for an average contribution size of $106, in the space of one week (IIRC?). Matching funds. Yum.

5. what excess?
We're looking at about $200 million to beat...

That, and waaay too many ballot box hotspots for comfort.

No reason whatsoever to get comfy here - the real work hasn't even begun yet.

But it'll be done. Because this time, we know what to beat - and not by a hanging chad, but by a landslide. Because it must be done that way, to definitely bury the prospect of another neocon / fundie monster coalition putting yet another clown in the WH.

I thought Reagan was a fluke - until W slipped by. And goobernator Ahnold is another joker in the pipeline...

Nope - this time, I know what must be done, and how: all out and together.

9. you know, nothing makes me want to puke more than the sight of a newborn
but that kid's surprisingly easy on the eyes. what's with the full head o' hair, anyhow? now I was a very hirsute little monster and I ascribe that to my illustrious slavic ancestry, and I guess such is the case with Wesley Clark III. So peaceful! So delicate!

what's the basic nature of male relationships anyway? rivalry?

kids are great, though.

11. Don't be so hard on newborns! They look like the middle aged themselves
Some will be hansome, some will be Dick Cheney or such. That first day tells it all!

14. So Kucinich raised more grassroots money than Clark this quarter ?
Cool.

This is not to piss on Clark because that's decent money but it's to point out how ridiculous it is for Clark supporters to post threads requesting the Kucinich drop out and/or that people stop sending money to him, AS or CMB concentrating on the "front-runners" instead whatever "front-runners" means.

15. Where are you getting that?
THe million dollar challenge was a two-week end of the quarter thing. Clark will probably raise this quarter - 12-15 million and with matching funds up to 18 million.....and he hasn't spent that much anyway.

I don't know where some people get the idea that Clark doesn't have "grassroots" support. You should see CCN, or heck some of the grassroots websites that are all done independently.

THis is not to piss on DK, because he should NOT drop out. He's a great man.

16. I eat my words then!
So Clark did raise more money. I did not realize it was a two-week end of the quarter thing. That is an accomplishment.
