Interesting Quiz--tests your preference for Bush or Kerry
Choose the last option "Take the Election IAT".

https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/demo/selectatest.html

The test has reveiled that I have a strong preference for Kerry relative to Bush! Surprise, surprise! ;)

The answer it will probably give you won't be mind blowing, but the test format is interesting. :)

13. Kennedy...er...Kerry?
;)

I think the way it works is if you have a harder time associating the good words with the candidate you don't like (or the bad words w/ the candidate you do like) and you either make alot of mistakes or go really slow...then it will tell you that you like the other guy better.

For me...when it'd say something like 'superb'..I'd either make a mistake and associate it w/ Kerry or go slower than normal trying to remember the rules telling me that it was supposed to go in Bush's column. :)

There are other tests on the pg including one that tells you whether you prefer Bush or 'former presidents'..it's more difficult because you see Democratic former presidents and Republican former presidents (that you might not not necessarily be thrilled with) together and it's tougher to keep the bad/good staight.

But it did say, I prefer former Presidents to W, which is true in any case. :)

14. That was a pretty wierd test
I was glad to see that my results suggested a strong automatic preference for Kerry over Bush.

This seems to be more sort of a research project than something designed to tell you who you prefer.

I think they go by how quick you are at associating negative words with Bush vs. Kerry, and associating positive words with Kerry over Bush.

I definitely went much slower when Bush and good were in the same category.

Well, I guess it's a relief to find out that I don't subconciously harbor positive feelings towards Bush.:)

16. Strong automatic preference...
It was so hard to associate "good" with Bush in any way possible. Sometimes I'd see a bad word and continuously hit bad, even though it gave me an error.

So, it's really no surprise I get so irate and physically ill each time I see Bush or one of his cronies on TV.

17. is this really harvard-sponsored?
I'm a little skeptical about a Harvard study that misspells "labels" as "lables."

Maybe that's just me.

21. Kerry of course

"Your data suggest a strong automatic preference for Kerry relative to Bush"

Man, it was physically difficult for my brain to map the 'good' words onto Shrub's key, and conversly the 'bad' words onto the Kerry key. Interesting test!
