When does being first lady give you experience to be president?
In that case, why wouldn't Laura * run?
Or Barbara *?
Or Rosalyn Carter?
Or Nancy Reagan?

Answer: IT DOESN'T.

Just like the fact that you were a captain in the Navy 40 years ago doesn't necessarily give you the experience necessary to be commander in chief in the 21st century. It doesn't.

3. Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein are more qualified than HRC
Because they've been in ELECTED politics longer.

Hillary was NOT ELECTED TO BE FIRST LADY; we just got her because we ELECTED Bill. That's a huge difference.

4. I don't want a surgeons WIFE operating on me either.... unless she is a licensed surgeon herself
And Hillary was not President, she was First Lady.

That time does not count towards "experience" for the Presidency. And I would rather have someone who has integrity, and sound judgement. Hillary has shown neither.

6. Who running for President
has any experience being President? Nobody. Its a stupid, dumbass argument. george dubya dumbass bush has eight years being president. Thanks dubya for making my point.

This is not an endorsement of either candidate, although if experience is checkmate give me General Clark any day and twice on election day.

10. Because she then became a United States Senator.
No other First Lady has accomplished that feat.

14. She should be running on her own accomplishments
not trying to coattail on Bill's. She wants it both ways and that's not acceptable to a lot of people.

17. Yeah but
how many other women became senators without ever being first lady? What do we say about them and their -4 to -8 year deficit that apparently to you is a prerequisite to being a woman senator?

16. 8 Years of being in the White House as First Lady gives Hillary much experience
Thats a fact.....

To the point of being President is another matter...and, its better than no experience whatsoever...

18. The question: When does being first lady give you experience to be president?
The obvious answer: When you are the only first lady in history to then go on to become a United States Senator.

20. It doesn't
It's obvious resume padding. Watching someone else make decisions is not as good as making them yourself. I lose a ton of respect for her for claiming her time as first lady as experience.
