Clinton campaign organizer Matt Clemons says an estimated 30 percent of them were Latino, nearly 60 percent were women, and two-thirds were age 50 or older, all good signs for Clinton.

Clinton's state campaign manager, Ace Smith, said last week that the campaign's efforts to get out Latino supporters - in addition to women and older voters, the senator's most loyal base - during the 11-day early-voting period that ended Friday could well serve as her margin of victory on Tuesday.

Democratic demographer Leland Beatty of Austin said 65 percent of the early voting turnout in Houston through Thursday included people who had not cast a ballot in the past three Democratic primaries. At least a quarter of the turnout is black, he said.

And 11,213 — 8.2 percent — were people who previously had voted in the Republican primary, he said.

The new voters would seem to favor Obama, Beatty said, but 69 percent of the early vote was cast by people older age 40 and 41 percent of the votes were from older women. Obama's appeal has been strongest with people younger than 40.

17. Huh? There is absolutely no proof that Hillary is up by 12 points in early polling
Edited on Mon Mar-03-08 09:53 PM by NJSecularist
You took one poll (when there are many that show different variations of early vote) and then you tried to connect the dots with that data to her internal polling. That is intellectual dishonesty at its best...

Unbelievable how some of these Hillbots will spin facts for their own benefit...

“Moreover, in an entirely separate survey that we conducted of early voters, Clinton led by a 55%-to-43% margin."

http://www.southernpoliticalreport.com/storylink_33_254.aspx

55 minus 43 equals 12.

If Hillary wins the early vote by 12%, I'll buy you dinner at Sullivan's. If it is five points better for Obama (or more), you buy me a Whopper.
