Kerry fundraising exceeded all expectations!
Kerry campaign expected $2.5 million in California swing through Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. ONE event in San Francisco raised $3 million!!!!! Amazing! Supposedly, Kerry has raised $25 million in the last three weeks from the web. I don't have a link for that one.

3. When can we start seeing the benefits of this on TV?
Anyone know what the "critical mass" is? I guess what I mean to ask is whether or not there is a minimum amount Kerry should have in the bank before he goes all-out? What about the DNC cash?

5. What Kerry learned in Iowa
Nothing matters until the last 48 hours. If Kerry advertised now, what would be the point?

9. The US is much bigger than Iowa indeed
and yet public opinion shifts nationwide very rapidly.

Kerry and Bush go up and down as much as ten points each week. That's a tremendous amount. The last 48 hours are everything in a campaign.

7. .
That's great. And another good thing is that such a success makes other people feel more inclined to get involved as well.

12. Regarding Internet fundraising
There is just something about donating online that really inspires you. I know when I've sent off a few bucks here and there through the mail I've always felt like, well, there it goes, out into the void. But on the Internet, as silly as it might seem, you really get the sense of all the little drip, drip, drips in the bucket making a mighty sea of money. Even though it's really the work of a little graphic (a "bat" filling up or whatever). Like a Snickers bar, it's so satisfying.

13. Very well said, Oregonian!
Your thoughts on this are spot-on. All the online info boxes, the determination of the amount, and even the automated e-mail response all give you a feeling of having actually done something positive.
