When Clinton loses in the Primaries, do you think she'll pull a Lieberman
and become an "independent"?

1. I used to think she would.
But the world's a much different place then it was two years ago.

Now that the Dems are back in power she'll probably stick around.

2. Good question.
Mostly because I think she has no intention of NOT winning the WH. I think failure is just not an option-by whatever means it takes. I think she has some superdelegates lined up and despite the fact that it looks like Obama is winning-she will take the bottom line with her purchase let's say of the super-delegates.

Seriously.

31. I can see how you'd get that feeling
she is nakedly ambitious, but then so is Obama. He has just been able, as frontrunner, to not seem so desperate.

3. Moot point.
Most states have "no sore loser" laws, and she would be ineligible to appear on many ballots.

So I guess this is just a smear against her loyalty to the party.

29. 65 liberal votes is more liberal than 77 liberal votes?
Because simple math tells me that 77 liberal votes is more liberal votes.

42. I just find those indexes of liberal versus conservative voting
to be very crude measurements of anything useful

and the implicit notions of "liberal" are usually pretty farcical, since there hasn't been an actual liberal agenda in Congress for a generation.

8. This primary season is giving Democrats a fever
Get a grip. Hillary who was exposed to the right wing smear machine. She has her faults and hardly our first choice, but a Lieberman. Again. Get a grip. The pressure is getting to you. She has been a loyal Democrat , ever since she left the Republicans at Swarthmore. With time, In an Obama Administration, the Clinton's will have many opportunites to serve. Should Obama not be smeared by the same machine that smeared the Clintons.

9. You really trust your party don't you?
I mean here we have a candidate for Presidency consistently pulling in nearly 50% of the Democratic vote and you worry she'd bolt if she doesn't win? That's kind of pathetic.

To that I say she will not run as an independant, neither will Obama. They have both said, repeated and repeated again that they will stand behind the winner of the nomination contest and I take them at their word.

Personally I think she will lose the nomination to Obama feel bloody awful about it because she put in so much time, money and hard work. She will successfully hold in any hard feelings and will suck it up, because she is tough enough to do that, and support and campaign for Barack Obama.

YMMV I could be completely wrong. If she wins the nomination Obama will do exactly the same.
