My voting experience in North Dallas suburbs
I just got back from voting in far North Dallas/Denton. This is Republican country.

I stood in line at the wrong location for an hour, so I can report on two polling places. Turnout was very heavy and lines were longer even than in our last general election. Dems were voting on the second floor at my first locale, and lines wound down a hall and out the building while the Republican area on the first floor looked like a ghost town. Surprisingly, I saw almost no Hispanics at either location, but the African American turnout looked stronger than usual. A group of active duty soldiers showed up at the Dem only polling place where I ultimately voted.

At my first polling place, I counted a dozen signs for Obama, none for Hillary. At the second place, there was only one sign for each.

Everyone I spoke with was aware of tonight's caucuses and most were planning on returning.

It will be interesting to see our results, but my hunch is that Obama will do very well today up here in North Dallas/Denton.

3. Update:
I just drove my son to rock climbing and the traffic outside of my PP was crazy. I've never seen it like that before. The line to park was over a mile long. I'm going to have to take a different route when I pick him up from class.

4. Thanks for the report.
This is actually my favorite part of being on here on primary days.

7. I just went to caucus..
but the traffic was crazy. Now backed up at least 6 miles. There was no parking available anywhere. I might try again in a few minutes, because I was told they had to wait until everyone was in before they could begin.

6. At our precinct this morning..
... (never many people but more this time than usual) there were about 12 Dems either in line getting their ballots or actually voting, and there were 2 Republicans.

We're going back to caucus here in about 20 minutes.
