Late results..good news for Obama
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 12:58 AM by anigbrowl
So, as the results trickle in:

Texas: still too close to call. Obama starts to win caucus delegates, usual suspects froth about how unfair caucuses are because Clinton campaign happens not to be good at orgnaizing for them. Don't know how the final result will be. Hillary has gathered a lead in the popular primary vote, but then that could change too...El Pase looks set to deliver another 30,000 vote to Clinton (the largest Clinton county with many results still to come, by a large number), but the Harris County, which includes Houston, looks set to deliver 50,000 more votes to Obama. Then there's the results from the other metropolitan areas.

I'll hazard a guess that the primary will come out very close by night's end but Obama wins the caucuses by about 10%. CNN just called the primary for Clinton, looks like she'll have a final lead of about 75,000 votes out of 2.1 million.

Ohio: Margin closing for Obama, now down to 55-43%. Still a good win for Clinton, but Cuyahoga county has now gone Obama's way with 24% of the votes in, and since this county makes up 20% of the Dem electorate for the whole state that should narrow Clinton's margin of victory somewhat. I think it'll end up as about a 10% win for her.

2. Hillary won Texas and Ohio...
Everyone's said so already. She may not still get enough delegates to win the nom, but tonight belongs to her.

4. I'll wait for the caucus results, thanks.
I don't grudge her a good night. My OP is just about how it affects the delegate math and for those interested in where the actual numbers end up.

In the closing minute, Hillary is down by 10 points, she shoots a 3 pointer and calls a quick time out.

That's where we are right now.

Obama still has a solid lead and will most likely take the win.

9. I think he's got a good shot at getting the nom...
but, I won't count her out. She's a fighter and there are still some states that could make or break for either of them.

Now, if she loses PA I'll say that she's done. Same with Obama. I may be wrong and I'm no expert at this sort of thing. Just guessing as I go. :)

16. Are you implying Rezko is part of Obama's campaign now?
Or do you just not understand metaphors?

3. And to think, three weeks ago...
She was set to cruise to an easy victory in both states. Which shows that there are states where Obama has gained on her, and states in which he's over taken her. And right now, the "overtakens" out-number the "gained-ons" by about 28-14.:D

B-)

11. Bloomberg said it was likely fraudulent.
But after that, I don't know what happened.

15. There was nothing to resolve
those votes were counted properly on election night. It was early reports that were wrong - they were never official.

13. I had to wait 2 minutes to primary....3 hours to caucus, so STFU
My wife couldn't even go because our 6 month old was sick at home. I had to stand on wobbly feet for 3 hours in line. 2 Elderly people fell over while waiting.

Furthermore, I had to drag my 2 year old with me and reschedule my 2nd shift job.

In contrast, I could early vote on Saturday at a time convenient for me. It took less than 2 minutes.

Caucuses are unfair to me cuz they make it HARD for me to participate.

STFU
