...I am resigned that they have taken over the party and are hell-bent on nominating the candidate most certain to lose to McCain ~~ Hillary Clinton. I am sitting here watching the insanity of some who actually think that she stands a snowballs chance in hell in November against McCain.

Geeeeeeeez, you think we would learn, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOO....another GE where we have to search as hard as we can to find the biggest loser possible.

55. Obama won't be on the ballot.. a write in is a vote for a Republican..
Hillary showed her mettle tonight. She was down and out and almost broke but rose and prevailed when challenged. The true mark of a Champion. Obama is finished after suffering such debilitating losses tonight.

4. Right here, enjoying the show...
RI +3 for Hillary
VT +3 for Obama

OH +5 to +9 for Hillary
TX +10 to +12 for Obama (even if he loses the primary!) :wow:

But we won't know for sure for at least several DAYS.

Best case for Hillary -1 for the day.
Best case for Obama +7 for the day.

Hillary didn't win anything that matters tonight. She lost ground in the delegate math... somewhere between 1 and 7.

Buy hey, knock yourselves out over her big "wins".

29. So did Gore... and by a lot more votes than Hillery won tonight.
state wide totals are MEANINGLESS because there is no winner take all.

Worse (for Hillary) is that the districts that Obama won big in Texas have more delegates per capita than the districts that Hillary won (that's another fact... seems unfair to me... but there it is). And Obama will win the caucuses... he always does better in a caucus than a vote.

And the DNC will not be swayed by one night... not when Obama will be leading in elected delegates, leading in the nationwide vote totals, and leading in the MONEY raising department.

Obama is about to win two more in the next few days (WY and MS).

39. I see what you say, but think you're wrong.
I support Obama, but I can be pretty objective as an analyst. I think the DNC would be far, far more sensitive to any claims that the presidential nomination was "stolen" from an African-American man who won more pledged delegates than his opponent. The consequences of giving the nomination to Clinton if Obama has won more delegates at the ballot box are possibly dire. If Clinton can outpace Obama in pledged delegates, this will be a different case.

35. Sadly, this is the case. I was hoping for an Obama primary
vote total win in Texas, and it may still happen as all the precincts report in... but it looks like it won't. Anyway, she will continue... and our party will lose this November.

She will not win the nomination without tearing the party in two.

Obama can't win unless she drops out.

By the time someone settles it, everyone will be tired of the negative crap being flung near and wide and vote against whichever one emerges from the Pyrrhic Victory.

Welcome to 4 more years of Iraq war, 4 more years of no health care, 4 more years of high oil prices, 4 more year of not addressing Global Warming and energy, 4 more years of economic ruin.

I'm so sad that I could just curl up and die.

22. old
Well, I'm old; old as in 53. Old enough to want mandated universal health care, get rid of No Child Left Behind, and old enough to want to fund public schools and get rid of vouchers. Old enough to know who Ronald Reagan really was, and what he really did. Old enough to know you shouldn't accept cheap real estate deals from crooks.

41. Yes, you are old enough to know better
While I will defer to your advanced age, I too am old enough to want the same things you do. I am also old enough to remember how far and hard Gore had to run away from the first Clinton 'legacy.' Imagine if the last 3 years of the Clinton administration hadn't been consumed with one scandal after another, and instead had been allowed to focus on...oh, I don't know...starting to wean ourselves from a petroleum economy? Finally filling all of those vacant judicial posts? Or, just maybe, anticipating that our education system was in need of some help and repair?

We will get nothing if we reelect the Clintons. They simply do not work and play well with others...they were elected in 92 and had a Democratic House and Senate, and proceeded to watch everything vanish as their various and sundry escapades were played out in pundit land. They don't buy into a 50-state strategy, instead only wanting to play their old games with the (by now) old-time exhausted Democratic infrastructure...where are Clinton's voices of the new and the positive...why does she continue to rely on those ugly corpulent would-be Republicans (e.g., Penn and Wolfson) as her surrogates?

Although the revisionists in the Clinton camp would have you believing otherwise, she had her chance to fix the healthcare system back in 1993 and 1994 (remember?). What makes you think she will be more successful at bringing about true fundamental bipartisan change after scorching so much earth and alienating much of the Democratic Senate (and House)leadership.

I guess some people never learn, no matter how old they are.

How's it feel to be behind every single primary delegate vote in this election?

How's it feel to win the Diebold-counted votes and lose the hand-counted votes by living, breathing Democratic voters in every election thus far? As an Obama supporter, I feel good. B-)
