Is Rove kicking himself now for the NYC convention?
Edited on Thu Apr-01-04 09:19 PM by ButterflyBlood
Since the * campaign has basically shut up about 9/11 after the poor reaction to their ads, the massive exploitation fest they had planned might not seem like such a good idea anymore. Now they'll have nothing but massive protests, a very unfriendly city to deal with and havinge the convention too late to get on the ballots in a few states.

2. I'd love to think so. I'd like to believe that the whole thing is giving
him a giant ulcer. But the actions of this whole crooked lying gang often make me wonder if they are even capable of any reflection or remorse.

4. Last week on CSpan
either Hotline or Roll Call folks said the GOP is considering moving the convention to Houston. Stay tuned - a lot depends on how the Condi interview goes with 9-11 Commission, I think.

5. Can they even do that?
I'm sure lots of contracts have already been signed with NYC businesses. Honestly I hope they try to move it to Houston and fail.

10. They had it in Houston already
Back in 1992 for Daddy bush. Pat Buchanan made his infamous 'Culture War' speech during that convention.

6. Houston in August
Houston in August . . . now, there's a thought! The muggiest, most polluted city in the country, at the hottest time of the year. Way to go, Karl.

13. It's pretty damn hot and muggy here in NYC, too. And this year...
is supposed to be the hottest August on record.

7. Well, that would sure be
the final thumb in the eye to New York!

At one strange time, I think they deluded themselves into thinking they could win New York in the GE. You know, back when Shrub was King of the Trade Tower Site.

But it would make sense to go to Texas where they, with the help of their cronies, could lock down the entire state onto a no protest zone.

I heard today that on the day Shrub arrives in NY, the entire subway system will be shut down.

9. No, not Houston. We don't want it here!
They should move it to Alabama or Mississippi.

11. Even though this looks like a monumental mistake, I doubt they will
change. The ONE thing this administration seems never able to do is admit a mistake or back down, anything to not admit they were stupid.

12. Kerry needs to run an ad during the Puke NYC Convention about
how they made the EPA lie about the asbestos in the air after 9/11. Fucking liars!
