Call your senator THIS MORNING to stop them from hotlining s 2056
Edited on Fri Apr-02-04 07:28 AM by Bombtrack
202 224 3121 (That number connects you to your states senator)

Only 1 single senator is needed to stop the hotlining of the vote. If one senator objects, the bill goes to the backburner for at least a month or so. But it could be hotlined this morning, at around 9:30 or 10:00. Just tell them to stop the hotline. That the bill is anti-first amendment. This bill will force Howard Stern off of the air because he wants George Bush out of office.

4. You said 2056 the first time, and thanks for the link.
It doesn't look like this will pass anyway in the Senate, but I'll put my 2 cents in.

Thanks for the heads up.

5. "doesn't look like it? They can't find ONE senator to stop the hotlining
There is almost zero chance it won't pass. Only 23 democrats I beleive voted against it in the house, and 1 republican, Ron Paul

6. According to the link you provided
I don't see where this has any chance of passing either.

snip

But some Hill staffers say privately that because the House version of the bill is laden with amendments, it may not get to the Senate floor

snip

But they are unlikely to get much help from key players, such as Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz.; Ernest Hollings, D-S.C.; Trent Lott, R-Miss.; Byron Dorgan, D-N.D.; Sam Brownback, R-Kan.; John Breaux, D-La.; Barbara Boxer, D-Calif.; and presidential hopeful John Kerry, D-Mass

Am I missing something?
