****BREAKING -Gaullp Poll- The Hill Reacaptures Her Lead****
For the first time in weeks, Hillary Clinton outpolls Barack Obama in national Democratic preferences, 48% to 44%.

The latest three-day average primarily reflects Democratic attitudes before the outcomes of Tuesday night's primaries were known. National Democratic preferences began to shift in Clinton's favor on Sunday, gained momentum on Monday, and remained favorable to her on Tuesday. Any impact her success in Tuesday night's elections may have on national preferences will be reflected in tomorrow's Gallup Poll Daily election tracking report.

18. Oh, please. She has been pouting the entire time. We're talking about two strong ego-driven people
Neither of them is perfect -- I just want one damned Democratic nominee.

I'd have admired her again if she put party and country before personal ambition and backed Obama. All she
has given us now is a deeply divided party. That is NOTHING to be proud of unless her primary aim is to elect
McCain.

be convinced, that's your problem - not mine. She knew the rules and followed 'em. Obama lied. And today, watching him try to respond to complex arithmetic, he was inarticulate. Sorry, but as we learn more, she looks better and your candidate ... well, I'm sorry.

66. It's not my wing -- it's the wing of the majority of Democrats but it's not mine
I only started stumping for Obama because he was the obvious nominee. I was an Edwards supporter. But
if Clinton and her supporters must destroy the party if they cannot have their way, then let them have it.
I want Obama as the top of the ticket because he's the stronger candidate, but if one over-aged brat is going
to derail the chances of the Sane Party versus the Crazies? Let the brat have her way.

That just shows how exclusive caucuses are...They are so exclusive that I would have thought a Republican invented them...

Look what happened in Washington State...The Hill lost the caucus 65-35 but lost the primary 50-48...

Those who had handicaps were put to the front of the line. Just checked CNN convention(caucus) count for TX...with 38% reporting, Obama has 56% and Hillary 44%....67 delegates total for the caucus. Of the primary delegates, Obama has 61 and Hillary 65. Do the math and I think if the percentages hold, Obama could out delegate Hillary.

29. yes but even when it was current it still did not reflect the wider number of polls

so we will all have to wait until new polls come out and show a wider sampling.

But I just find it odd whenever a Clinton supporter points to numbers to make any kind of argument because Obama only needs 46% of the remaining delegates to get the nomination.

In the last month he has taken 80% of the superdelegates who announced their support 66-16

Fine we are off to Wyoming and Mississippi. Just remember this. Hillary could have gone out on a high note. But when she is raking in $ 1,000,000 a day there is no incentive for her to do so - except the better interests of the party - and the country.

She will continue. She knows the numbers and she will end this campaign with a huge warchest for her future political interests and in the meantime might damage Obama in the GE - which would then make it possible for her to run in 4 years.

This isn't about getting the nomination or getting a little a bit ahead in the polls. The numbers don't lie.

47. Super delegates were responding to the inevitable argument
regarding Obama over the last month just like they did to Clinton once when she wore the cloak of inevitability. It is called the bandwagen effect. That is over now.

I know you don't see it this way but at least look around and notice that there is another viewpoint. Hillary Clinton and her supporters think she will make both a better candidate and President than Barack Obama, which does not have to mean we think he would be bad at either. Speaking for myself I am not confident that Obama is tough enough to beat McCain, and I am not confident that he is strong enough in the key real swing states to carry them for Democrats either. I do not think it serves the interests of our Party or our nation for our best candidate to leave the race when she has a real chance to win.

The 2004 election boiled down in the last week to 3 States; Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. So far Hillary Clionton has decisively won the popular vote in Florida and Ohio AND she polls much better in those states against McCain than Obama. The same is true for PA although obviously the primary there hasn't happened yet.

Congrartulations Hillary, you proved that hope in politics indeed doesn't exist and is nothing more than a pipe dream.

Who cares if all the mud she throws at Obama will stick if he happens to win the primary, at least now her and all her supporters can say that if Hillary isn't the nominee then democrats aren't going to win the white house, all thanks to her.

Then we all owe a great debt of gratitude to the Clinton campaign for exposing this weakness now before we are locked into Obama as our candidate.

Personally I expect Obama to fight back. If he can't he has no business representing the Democratic Party against McCain.

28. Obama has no problem fighting back
but he shouldn't be fighting back like this against a fellow democrat. Everyone expected the right wing to throw out all the bullshit about him being muslim, questioning his patriotism, saying he isn't fit for office, and down right lying. But I don't think anyone ever expected those kind of unfair and totally dishonest attacks to come from a fellow democrat.

It would be extremely easy for Obama to do the same. With all those pardons from Clinton, all those right wing bullshit rumors about whitewater. And all those other dishonest attacks the right wing has launched over the years, Obama could have repeated it all and probably got a huge bump in the polls from it. Yet he chose not to sink that low even when he was far behind in the polls. Clinton and most of her supporters have no regrets about doing this, they are throwing this entire party under the bus saying that if Hillary doesn't get the nomination she will not allow Obama to win the general. Very classy of her, now when are people like you going to rise up and demand she stop this bullshit?

Frankly at this point if Obama wants to do the same to her then do it. Bring in all the bullshit rumors about Vincent Foster. Talk about Marc Rich. Demand she release her tax returns. At this point I am starting to get the feeling that I thought I would never get, which is that I will never find myself voting for Clinton. I always assumed any democrat would be better than any republican, but she is starting to prove me wrong. So if she is throwing mud at you not giving a shit about what happens to our party in the general then fuck it, throw mud right back at her. She proved this strategy works, 2 can play that game.

34. +12 yesterday
Late-breaking numbers out of Texas’ odd two-phase voting system put an asterisk on Hillary Clinton’s Tuesday night victory speech, showing gains made by Barack Obama in the delegate grab race had all but numerically canceled out her big win in Ohio.

Although Clinton got a major boost in morale by winning more raw votes than Obama in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island (she lost to Obama in Vermont), an Associated Press count of the delegates shows Clinton only reduced her opponent’s lead in delegates by 12.

I'm no mathmetical genius but when I did the math and kept the percentages as they are presently with 38% reporting, I had Obama up by four. So maybe the Clintons only reduced Obama's delegate lead by eight! Check it out and see what you come up with!

Rezko has a tie with one of Clinton's biggest donors.
The inhouse atty. of a corporation headed by Clinton's big ($180,000) donor, IPA, is identified as "Individual H" in the Illnois criminal indictment of Rezko. This atty. is also a Clinton donor. Here's the link & the info
