Statistics that, sadly, may not matter in November

By a five point margin, Americans prefer Democrats handle foreign policy. By 10 points they want us to handle Iraq. By 12 points they trust us more on tax policy. By 10 points they think our side is better able to handle morality issues. By 19 points they trust us more on the economy. By a 29 point spread they think we'll do a better job in education. By 30 points they trust Democratic heathcare plans. By 25 points they want us handling governmental reforms. By 34 points they think we have the best energy plans. By a whopping 44 point margin, Americans agree with the Democrats' environmental policies.

And yet Obama is only up by a few points over McCain on most polls. Sen Clinton is losing most theoretical head to head match ups.

There is a reason Republicans don't want to run on the issues, but prefer to focus on personal attacks. The stars are lined up in the right direction for us this year. Why aren't we doing better?

2. It's crazy that the Repubs get the majority on Terrorism while
we get Iraq and Foreign Policy. I would think and hope that they would all be the same.

4. I think in the GE, we will see some of these numbers play out...
...but we've got to make sure Iraq remains the elephant in the room for McCain. It's easier done with Obama than with Clinton, but neither of them have said we will be in Iraq for 100 years like McCain did. If we play that sound-bite just right, it could the thing that ends his campaign.
