1. Not only that...
Edited on Fri Apr-02-04 06:45 PM by rockymountaindem
he said that he was a former young republican and that he doesn't just want to vote for Kerry, but also to work on the campaign.

On edit: CBS also reported that a poll of military families showed that 53% of them didn't think the war was worth the cost, while only 39% said that it was. The tide is turning. When a hard-core Republican Army officer says he wants to work on the "weak on defense" Kerry campaign, I think Bush better start looking for a new job.

15. Now the truth emerges
We can now see clearly why the Pentagon scrapped online voting for overseas military personnel, they know that the vote will not be in their favor!

4. That was one encouraging story!
Not only that, he said he intends to help the Kerry campaign, and that this November it won't be the case that soldiers will blindly vote Republican (paraphrasing)!

7. Furthermore
I thought their coverage of the unemployment report was pretty fair.

Now they're laying the blame for the gas price increase on refinery monopolies, not the Arctic drilling thing. They're saying that the oil companies deliberately withold oil to jack up the price.

9. the awful event with the mercs and the mob earlier this week comes to mind
There have to be more and more military personnel grumbling about the malAdministration every day. That little mob action likely pumped up a lot of troops. I keep thinking LIHOP on this one as it would likely divert attention and make it hard for individuals to speak against the war and policies when their comrades are painting hateful slogans on tanks and Bremer is promising 'revenge'.

11. Whoo-hoo
CBS is growing some cajones. Last night they dropped the little tidbit that 1) Bush et al never mentioned OBL/AQ until 9/11, 2) that their plans for military action were approved after 9/11, but 3) they were all hot for Iraq the whole time. Maybe that's 3 tidbits

Can't wait to get home and watch it.

12. I saw that segment, and it was heartwarming.
This dear couple has been through hell and back. I could see the relief from the almost unbearable fear of never seeing each other again on their faces. I'm so happy he's home safe and sound with his wife and that they are going to work for John Kerry. God bless. O8)

17. John Kerry needs to talk to soldiers as one of them
when he criticizes bush on issues concerning soldiers, kerry needs to say things like "as someone who served" he knows what soldiers needs and that in order to defend the country the soldiers should be taken care of as the best as they could and then point out how bush isn't doing it. it wouldn't hurt to draw some comparisons with vietnam , especially concerning the leadership in the white house and what was really going on. i'm nto sure about the best way to do this but i just htink kerry needs to make it personal and speak as a soldier. clinton often did this when it came to struggling while growing up.while the chickenhawks will not understand what kerry is talking about those who are actually serving will get it.
