"They failed"
This is from an email I just received from the BO campaign:

"Our projections show the most likely outcome of yesterday's elections will be that Hillary Clinton gained 187 delegates, and we gained 183.

That's a net gain of 4 delegates out of more than 370 delegates available from all the states that voted.

For comparison, that's less than half our net gain of 9 delegates from the District of Columbia alone. It's also less than our net gain of 8 from Nebraska, or 12 from Washington State. And it's considerably less than our net gain of 33 delegates from Georgia.

The task for the Clinton campaign yesterday was clear. In order to have a plausible path to the nomination, they needed to score huge delegate victories and cut into our lead.

They failed."

4. Obama spent TWICE as much as Hillary on TV ads in Texas. How's that for failure?

7. Irrelevant. It's the delegates, stupid.
At this point every delegate won is a step closer to the nomination. He won 183 + 4 supers in the last two days. He's well on his way to wrapping this thing up by May after North Carolina weighs in and more and more supers weigh in.

And cut a 20 point lead in 2 weeks.
Hillary was supposed to be within 25 delegates of Obama. She's not even close.

2. FOUR DELEGATES?????
yea big success there Hill-bots....if Clinton wins the next 16 contests in a row, by 10-15% each SHE STILL WON'T HAVE ENOUGH PLEDGED DELEGATES TO OVERTAKE OBAMA

6. But When HRC Was the Supposed Front-Runner
She and her supporters couldn't stop talking about how important the delegates were. Now, that you guys have won a few states, of course now you have your panties in a twist about the importance of the popular vote.

11. But remember, it's "lower the bar Wednesday" for the Clinton campaign.
It's getting a bit ridiculous.

15. first off,
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 05:39 PM by Blue_Roses
I didn't have a dog in that fight. I was still sitting on the fence trying to wrap my brain around the fact that after all these years of supporting Bill and Hillary--from rabid rwing family members, no less--I am having to look at someone who plays as dirty as Bush, INC. My support for the Clintons has never waivered, but it is now withering.

Never, NEVER in a presidential primary have I seen such: temper-stomping-baby-whining-ear-piercing-cries from a candidate who claims to have so much experience in fighting the GOP. She crumbled and now is bringing down the party with her. By giving John McCain the fighting words that she's been spewing, not only has she lost her credibility with me but with many others.

I hate eatin' crow, especially when I have to eat it while I look across the table at my rwing BIL.

9. This is the fundamental difference
The Clinton campaign focuses on spin. The Obama campaign focuses on winning delegates. At the end of the day, all the spin in the world won't matter when Obama has 2025 of them in his pocket.

14. And then she is only ahead if you include her votes in Michigan.

Since Obama wasn't on the ballot he, of course, gets ZERO votes from Michigan. With Michigan and Florida included she is only ahead about 25,000. Does anyone seriously think Obama would have gotten less than 25,000 votes in Michigan?

However, the very large voting population in Puerto Rico may well put her over the top. I hope Obama spends time in Puerto Rico going after the vote. Just for the symbolism if nothing else.

10. Let the media and the Hillary supporters live in their denial. When Obama ends up with the majority
of the elected delegates, and the SDs flock to Obama to seal the will of the people, it will hit 'em like a ton of bricks.
