OK, so tell me what's wrong with that? Maybe the only kind of Democrat who has a prayer against the Roveian Republicans is one who knows how to out-cheat them. We've been saying for years that the Republicans stole 2000, 2002, and 2004, so why not run someone in 2008 who can beat them at their own game? Surely a woman who has no qualms about sliming her ideological neighbors isn't gonna hold back on John McCain in the General.

She stands up for what is right. She fights a good fight. She is made of the right stuff, and this country deserves her tenacity, her spirit, her strength.

2. thats great if she wants to slime McCain but she hasn't been sliming him!!!
She actually praised him. Shes sliming her own fellow democrat and throwing him under the bus. Spare me the bullshit ok? If she were attacking McCain with the same ferosity with which she attacks Obama then I might have a different view of her right now. But shes not. All I've heard her say about McCain is that he has alot more experience than Obama, she had vodka drinking contest with McCain and that they're really close friends. Yeah thats an attack alright :eyes:

15. Again, Destroying The Moral Authority of The Party For Her Own Ambition
I can't wait until you argue that we should find a President who is willing to do to terrorists what they do to us. I knew that all of the f'ed up things the Bush administration did these last years would sadly no longer have the distinction of "unprecendented."

But I didn't think a Democrat would pick up the precedent so quickly. Really, I can't believe that we are now arguing that we should be more like Bush in South Carolina, smearing opponents because we cannot articulate what we stand for.

Fortunately, we have someone who is incredible at articulating what we stand for and making it seem like common sense.

Becoming what you attempt to defeat
is a very hollow way of winning. Do you think that Feingold, whose picture you use as an avatar, and therefore I assume you admire and respect, would condone such tactics? Contrary to a common perception around here, winning is NOT everything. Unless your post was ment as a sarcasm I failed to get, I find it incredibly demoralizing.

40. Please don't draw conclusions about my ethical stances
based on provocative questions I might ask. I'm capable of entertaining all sorts of ideas that I would never actually condone. I have had a sense that there were some implicit assumptions and attitudes building and I wanted to render them explicit--to make people actually think through some of these issues.

39. What part of behind in delegates don't you understand?
Hillary has not been "winning", she's been losing.

She "won" Ohio and Rhode Island. She lost Vermont. The Texas two step was a split decision w/ the part that matters, the delegate count, going to Obama.

She was 2 for 4 on Tuesday and w/ a marginal net delegate upgrade.

Granted her Rove tactics helped her but on balance she's run one of the most incompetent primary campaigns on recent record.

Competence is NOT her strong suit.

41. This is why Democrats loose.
Over the last 30 years we have had 4 Presidents... 3 of them Republican, 1 Democrat... and that 1 Democrat was Clinton.

Look at track records... the Republicans have had 3 Nominees in the last 30 years, all 3 became president. The democrats have had 7 nominees in the last 30 years... 1 became president... and that 1 was Clinton.

The last time a Clinton won, we were coming off an unpopular war in Iraq and an unpopular president... Kerry had the same scenario and lost.

hmmmm....

45. Wrong!
When Kerry ran, we were not "coming off an unpopular war in Iraq". We were (and still are, as you well know) smack in the middle of it, and it wasn't all that unpopular at the time either among the overall population. And W, like it or not, was not particularly unpopular either (hovering around 50% if I remember exactly). I am not sure what exactly was the point of your post, but at least as far as Kerry is concerned, you were off the mark.

She won't be the nominee, but she knows that - she's too smart to give this much ammunition right now to McCain to destroy her with in the GE. She knows exactly what she's doing and it's disgusting - it's right out of Karl Rove's play book.

If you like that kind of stuff, go to freeperland - they thrive on it too.
