Toronto Globe and Mail: "someone from Ms. Clinton's campaign called"
"Mr. Brodie said that someone from Ms. Clinton's campaign called and was "telling the embassy to take it with a grain of salt."

So who called? What's the name? Will Clinton campaign be asked about this by lazy USA press?

4. She won't be unless
CNN and MSNBC blare it over the airwaves for 3 days, like they did with Obama.

So far, I haven't heard or seen a peep.

10. Phone Records Are Worthless. No Memo = No Leg To Stand On In Comparison, Period.
Nice try though! :hi:

12. but Hillary's people claim noone called the Canadian Embassy
If there are phone records of that, we can find out who made the call and when it was made.

I'm sure the Canadian Embassy will be cooperative.

afraid of where this will lead?

13. Not Afraid At All. You've Got Nothing.
Obama, however, has a memo that is quite damning. Until you have anything anywhere near that level, it really is quite silly to try and act like they're on equal ground. For real. :hi:

Let just see what comes of this.

You seem rather quick to dismiss it. "Nothing to see here, folks. move along..."

16. As Of Now, There Isn't.
At the time of the initial Obama release, I felt the same way. Then the memo came out, which changed everything. If something that damning comes out in relation to the Hillary side as well, then I will evaluate that in the same way. But for so many of you to jump the gun and knee jerk with the "hillary did it too!!!!111" gotchas when the level of information isn't anywhere near what we have on the Obama side so far, makes you all look quite silly.

If and when more substantial evidence arises that implicates the Hillary campaign, you'll have a leg to stand on. In the meantime, it is an exercise in foolishness to take such easily dismissable circumstantial evidence and try and dramatize it to the level of convincing argument. The simple fact is that the Obama camp was embarrassed a bit by all this, so now his supporters will jump at any opportunity they can to try and claim they both were guilty or she was guilty of the same etc, even at the sake of biting hook line and sinker into the flimsiest of evidence. Try and be a bit more objective and less reactionary in your assessment of guilt, ok? :hi:

15. probably an Obama supporter calling and trying to deflect the real story.
Not like it has never happened before, and I have as many "Facts" about it as this story does.

17. What everybody seems to be missing here is that the CTV story
was about Mr. Brodie's comments and somehow "Obama campaign" got substituted for "Clinton campaign" in the reporting. The Goolsbee contact initiated by the Canadian Consulate in Chicago was a SEPARATE incident that got conflated with the CTV story.
