Edited on Wed Apr-07-04 07:57 AM by demdem
This is the average from all the recent polls, things are looking up for Kerry. Bush only leads in two of the last eleven polls. And we know that the Gallup results are an outlier so Kerry's average is actually even higher.

Rasmussen (4/3-4/5) 44% 47% Kerry +3
Zogby (4/1-4/4) 45% 47% Kerry +2

TIPP/IBD (3/29-4/3) 43% 45% - Kerry +2
LA Times (3/27-3/30) 46% 49% Kerry +3
CNN/Gallup/USAT(3/26-3/28) 51% 47% Bush +4
Pew Research (3/22-3/28) 46% 47% Kerry +1
Rasmussen (3/26-3/28) 45% 46% Kerry +1
Newsweek (3/25-3/26) 47% 48% Kerry +1
Fox News/Op Dyn (3/23-3/24) 44% 44% TIE

1. 2 points of concern: 1-Quinnipiac is a very good poll
and 2 no Nader.

If you throw out the high and low scores (like in the Olympics) Kerry's up by about 2. Any way you cut it, it's a statistical dead heat.

Rasmussen (4/3-4/5) 44% 47% - Kerry +3

4. Quinnipiac is a good poll, but its also old
Polls conducted two weeks ago are pretty much meaningless. I agree its a dead heat, but I think you have to give a slight edge, at this point, to Kerry. Everything can, and probably will change between now and election day. But its nice to see us with a lead, no matter how small. This should certainly help Kerry and the DNC with fundraising.
