9. The totals from caucuses indicate less than 3,000 voted.
Don't know how many Dems went to caucus, but that's a pretty low count.

26. Actually, Barack will walk away with a net gain of 3 (8-5).
...

In a sense, Wyoming gets 13, because Wyoming gets 1 "add-on" delegate. People think of the add-ons as superdelegates, but the reality is in caucus states the add-ons are picked by a vote of the state convention, so whoever wins the caucus wins the add-on. Moreover, the add-ons are vetted by the candidates every bit as heavily as pledged delegates to ensure commitment at the convention. Whoever wins the most delegates in caucus states gets the add-on.

86. Oh God....
these are DELEGATES!!!!! Not the actual number of people that voted. The comments I heard earlier was that the turnout was huge. But you probably expect many millions in a state with ~half a million total population. If people did not move to WY just to vote, it means that "The excitment seems to be wearing off, eh?"

106. You've never spent any time in Wyoming, have you?
Because if you had, you'd realize what an accomplishment it is to get that many Democrats to show up for a caucus.
You can literally drive for an hour in Wyoming and not come across a single Democrat (or any other person, for that matter).

Anyway, how does it make your candidate look better by mocking the number of votes that Obama got, when your candidate got 20% fewer?

NY is suppose to add soon more delegates to Obama. California gave him a lot this week. Unassigned has thrown in more.

You forget, not only he picks up 2 to 4 more delegates but another state is gone. Time has run out but they will play dirty tricks and may do something to stop him.

Wyoming is solidly RED

so, some folks vote for Obama in the primary, so....

Wyoming is not even a swing state

bottom line:

only Hillary wins crucial big swing states and crucial big Dem states

fact Obama has won a bunch of solidly republican little states means zip in the GE

120. Maybe you haven't noticed,
but this was a primary. Not the GE. The person who gets the most delegates wins the nomination.

The GE is after this process. But before you get to the GE, you have to have a candidate. The primaries choose this candidate. Therefore, delegates are important.

Cart before horse.

But the fact is that Hillary Clinton is ahead. Many Obama supporters refuse to accept this fact. That's all.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x4126225#4126263

Obama has won ONE out of three competitive primaries/caucuses.

Hillary Clinton has won TWO of three competitive primaries/caucuses. Obama is behind Clinton in terms of primaries/caucuses (delegates will be awarded at a later date and are IRRELEVANT right now).

What about this first grade arithmetic is incomprehensible to some?

51. Let me give you some advice
Back when I was in high school, I went to a lot of football and basketball games. The basketball team, in particular, was a very winning team (state champions the year after I graduated). On the rare occasion that one of our players threw an airball, the other team's fans would yell "Air-ball, Air-ball!", even when they were losing by 20 points! So our fans would yell back "Scoreboard! Scoreboard!", as we pointed to the scoreboard.

Lesson: Don't gloat when you are losing!!!

This is why the party keeps losing presidential elections. It's the DLC strategy to insult as many of the true base as they can no matter where they live while focusing on a few DLC-infested states.

every delegate matters. Clinton needs to win everywhere by huge margins. she can't let Obama win anywhere.

when will some of you realize that Obama's path to the nomination is due to these smaller states?

downplay it all you want, but it just makes it that much harder for her to win now.

Its not losing 2 delegates, its really like losing a lot more considering she needs to win by huge margins in every state with no exceptions.

another big loss for Hillary.

Every delegate counts and frankly, Wyoming's delegates are just as important as the delegates from California and every other state. They're no different and they don't mean any less.

Look at this way: Let's pretend Hillary and Obama are NBA teams battling for the final playoff spot. Right now Obama is up 5 games on Clinton with not many left to play. For Clinton to overtake Team Obama, she'll need him to start losing games. Now you might say Wyoming is a small, insignificant state, but winning there only helps keep Obama ahead of Clinton.

Each win from here on out is important and even 1-2 delegates could be the big difference in who gets in and who doesn't. Right now, Clinton is looking from the outside in and if she continues losing, it'll stay that way.

114. Teton counting reporting
The lone county yet to report as of 5 p.m. MST, with 17 delegates to award to the State Convention, will surely embolden Sen. Obama's early victory; Hillary supporters are, to the naked eye, outnumbered at least 5-to-1 in the crowd.

Caucus Chair Andy Schwartz announced less than an hour into the buzzing, overflowing room that registration had already topped 1,000 - almost five times the number of democrats who caucused in this county during the last election cycle.

Use your head for Christ sake. He'll get all her votes, but she won't get all his I's and moderate R crossovers because they can't stand her.
As to "big states," he has taken Missouri, Virginia, Washington State, Wisconsin, and other sizeable states. He closed considerably in CA, OH, damn near beat her in TX after being way down (DID win the caucus there hence more delegates). And it will be OBAMA who can deliver IA, NM, CO, NV, MI, and other red leaning states while also making inroads into the redder states thus helping out down-ticket candidates. Hillary WON'T be able to do so.

133. You do realize how weak an argument that is, right?
2 delegates makes the gap ever wider.

2 delegates may have been won, but there are 12 less in the pot for her to get to make up the huge gap.

She won, what? 8 last tuesday?, that comes out to an average of 2 per state... Sounds like a familiarly low number....

But look at the bright side. She could close the gap by winning every remaining contest by 60%, and PA by 65%

How are the numbers looking in MS, NC, OR, MT, and SD, by the way?
