Bush re US soldiers dying:"Let them eat lead."
'Let Them Eat Lead'

by David Wiggins

I recently received an email from a reliable administration source. This highly reputable source tells me that between campaign fundraisers, watching Major League baseball games, and vacationing at his Texas ranch, his top advisors told President Bush of the Sadr Offensive and the deteriorating situation in Iraq via conference call. On being informed that many poor US foot soldiers were dying or dead, he listened on in silence. Mr. President, what will we do?" he was asked. According to this official, President Bush hesitated for a second, then smirked, "Let them eat lead."

1. I was really hoping this was NOT a quote....
but sounds like quirky McSmirky strikes again.

Wish this was on tape......make a great ad, wouldn't it....except I wouldn't want to have the families & soldiers have to face what a champion a@@hole bushwa really is.....

Peace
DR

5. Unfortunately let them eat Depeleted Uranium might be more accurate
We're fighting a nuclear war in Iraq-- not just a conventional one. The depleted uranium ammo we're using is not much different from radioactive fallout, which will poison that country for centuries to come.

We've already lost 10,000 Gulf War I vets because of this poison, and we're going to lose more from this war, too, if we continue using DU ammo.

This needs to stop-- NOW.

7. Yes, what our troops and the Iraqi citizens are eating is essentially
radioactive lead(?). Depleted uranium.

I heard a show about it the other night on Air America. I cannot believe what is going on.

When our government is allowed to use our tax dollars for this kind of destructive and evil practice, its time to realize how important it is to become more active in our government and make a commitment to get more active and aware.

8. I dunno . . .
I think I personally would have to see it come out of the
horses mouth. He has made some stupid comments; however, that
one would definitely be the biggest, most ignorant comment up
to date. AND . . . if someone has this on tape and/or video,
they need to send a copy to all of the big news networks as
well as some of the top papers.

I think that is the only way most people would believe that he
said that.

10. I'm inclined not to believe it, but he did say "Bring them on!".
It's hard to know what is fact and what is fiction. I have no doubt that he is completely insensitive about military deaths considering he is a chickenhawk piece of shit.

I don't believe it.

Seems exactly like the anti-Kerry lies (out of touch with common man crap) that's been floating around.

No way.

On edit: Is it possible he was referring to the Iraqis?

The cynic in me thinks shrub has a superficial familiarity with history. Like maybe from his mother feeding him cake one day and she told him the quote and and he thought he was some kind of wag by remembering it. Of course he's talking about the Iraqis! It's a race war as much as anything, don't you know?
