Clinton could have her Super Delegate Status Revoked.
Clinton is a Super Delegate to the Convention. According to the rules of the party, she could be challenged based on her statements that endorse McCain above Obama. If this is done, and approved by the DNC Rules Committee, she could be disqualified as a delegate.

For reference see the FDL article about Lieberman's status amd the Zell Miller rule: http://firedoglake.com/2008/02/06/lieberman-has-superdelegate-status-stripped-because-of-mccain-endorsement/

And for the list of Super Delegates, see: http://demconwatch.blogspot.com/2008/01/superdelegate-list.html

All it takes is someone to file the case to the DNC...

2. I was stunned when she made those comments; she all but endorsed him verbatim.
I wonder if she will be challenged.

in which she says she and McCain have the experience and Obama doesn't. I suppose you don't call that an endorsement but people who can read do. Good thing Laura Bush isn't running. She has the same 'experience'.

Not many RL Democrats are sufficiently separated from reality that they would interpret her remarks as an endorsement of McCain.

8. I have been saying that for days. We need a petition
I think we should start a petition. Started working on it yesterday.

The letter of the rule in the DNC bylaws may or may not apply to what Clinton said. It says someone loses their superdelegate status if they endorse or "express support for the election of" someone in another party.

Clinton did not explicitly express support for McCain's election, but what she said could be considered an endorsement. The rule was put into place after Zell Miller went to the Republican National Convention and gave a speech in which he said, among other things, that George Bush was more qualified to be commander in chief than John Kerry.

...if you honestly care what I think:

"An honest answer from HRC supporters on the McCain comments please?"
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x4944576

But you ducked my challenge, didn't you? The Obama campaign is very willing to call out Clinton when she behaves in a manner they think inappropriate. One would think they might find any Democrat endorsing the Republican candidate for President worthy of mention.

So where has the Obama campaign backed the lie you are spreading here? Give me just ONE link to any official Obama campaign spokesperson willing to say for the record that Clinton endorsed McCain for President.

What happens to the SD if she gets it stripped from her? (I doubt that it would happen)

Does it cease to exist?

or

Does it get switched to someone else?
