Don't know much about her but the prospect of a female Democratic Governor from KS does make the idea interesting... What do you think?

future. Do you KS people think she could bring that state to Kerry. Seems KS is a very monkeyfied state. I dunno. A article in the guardian mentioned her - said she will soldify woman to the ticket. If Scalia's remarks (said women have no right in the Constitution) does not make most women vote for the Dem ticket in November nothing will.

3. if she's any good, it's an alignment of the stars...
good Dem voting Democrats are somewhat hard to find in the midwest... I'm from Oklahoma... I know...

That's why I think she has the possibility to be something (including VP) if people can't find anything glaringly wrong with her...

What do you say Kansans? Anybody else have insight?

2. I think I see the ghost of Mondales' defeat
a female VP candidate.

Doesn't matter how qualified she is (i'm sure it's twice as much as the nearest male) We just aren't grown up enough yet to accept a female presidential level candidate. Sad, but look around.

We are totally screwed.

5. No, no, no. no. We need her
in Kansas. You can't have her. You find someone else to be vice-president. Now go away.

6. A blatant act of tokenism
If she were a man, nobody would even be talking about her. She's only been governor for two years and has no foreign policy experience. Besides, we'll never carry Kansas. At least Napolitano comes from a state that could conceivably go Democratic.

If Kerry's going to try to make his selection a "first," he'll go for Bill Richardson, a Hispanic. While Richardson has only been governor for two years, before that he served in Clinton's cabinet, at the UN and in Congress. But he probably doesn't look good in a dress.
